The “good news” of Romans 1

Take a look at this absolutely awesome passage in which we get a sense of exactly what the "Good News" is! This passage reveals that, to be "right" with ADONAI, we must be obedient to His "forever" commands found in Torah; not according to our own ways, and not according to what we "think" Paul wrote, because the writings of Paul have been greatly misunderstood.

Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the Good News; for it is the power of Elohim to life, to all who believe in it; whether first they are of the Jews, or whether they are of the Gentiles. 17. For in it is revealed the righteousness of Elohim, from faith to faith; as it is written, The righteous by faith, will live. 18. For the wrath of Elohim from heaven is revealed against all the iniquity and wickedness of men who hold the truth in iniquity 19. because a knowledge of Elohim is manifest in them; for Elohim has manifested it in them. (AENT)

Before we continue, we must ask ourselves: HOW can we know ELOHIM? Through His Torah (first five Books of the Bible) which reiterates, over and over again that ALL who accept YAHWEH as their God must follow His Divine Rules! Further reading helps to explain what happens to those who ignore His commands and/or attempt to divide the Bible into "the old and the new"....:

Romans 1:20. For, from the foundations of the world, the hidden things of Elohim are seen by the mind in the things he created even his eternal power and divinity, so that they might be without excuse 21. Because they knew Elohim and did not glorify him and give thanks to him as Elohim, but became vain in their imaginings and their unwise heart was darkened.

22. And, while they thought within themselves that they were wise, they became fools. 23. And they changed the glory of the incorruptible Elohim into a likeness to the image of a corruptible man,[1] and into the likeness of birds and four-legged animals and reptiles on the earth. 24. For this cause, Elohim gave them up to the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies with them.

25. And they changed the truth of Elohim into a lie; and worshipped and served the created things, much more than the Creator of them, to whom belong glory and blessing, forever and ever: Amen. 26. For this cause, Elohim gave them up to vile passions: for their females changed the use of their natures [2] and employed that which is unnatural. 27. And so also their males set aside the use of females, which is natural, and burned with lust toward one another; and, male with male, they did what is shameful, and received in their core substance [3] the just recompense of their error. (AENT)

If the above sounds familiar, it's because this type of thing has been going on ever since Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden! YHWH destroyed the world once because of this; and it seems that mankind has never learned because we're still doing it. As a matter of fact, we're basically just as corrupt as we were "in the days of Noah".... How much longer do you think He will put up with our nonsense?

Romans 1:28. And as they did not determine with themselves to know Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a vain mind; that they might do what they should not. 29. Being full of all iniquity and lewdness, and bitterness and malice, and covetousness and envy, and slaughter and strife, and deceit and evil machinations 30. And backbiting and slander; and being haters of Elohim, scoffers, proud, vain-glorious, devisers of evil things, destitute of reason, disregardful of parents.

31. And to whom a covenant is nothing, neither affection, nor peace, and in whom is no compassion. 32. These, while they know the judgment of Elohim, that he condemns those to death who perpetrate such things, are not only doers of them, but the companions of such as do them. (AENT)

FOOTNOTES:

[1] Rav Shaul rejects the idea of making a deity out of a human being, something he himself is often being wrongly accused of. The key is the phrase “corruptible man” which is put in contradistinction of Y’shua who fulfilled prophecy by virtue of having the Ruach haKodesh, the Spirit of YHWH, inside him.

If Rav Shaul did not approve of others turning images of men into false deities, he would certainly not approve of what Christendom has done today. The Son did the Father YHWH’s will; his human side submitted to the divine. This is what opened the door for repentance for all of us; therefore, all who follow Y’shua must also yield unto YHWH rather than follow a deity who lessens the Name of YHWH and abolishes Torah.

[2] The Image of Elohim is both male and female (B’resheet/ Gen. 1:27). To deny the distinctions of male/female gender is to spurn the One who created male and female according to His own Image. See Female Attributes in Appendix.

[3] The word translated as “themselves” by Murdock is much better rendered as “core substance” one of several important meanings for qnoma, which also refers to an occurrence (not a separated “person”) of a nature. This verse states that punishment for sexual sin is not in the external body, but in a foundational place where the very essence of humanity resides.

  1. YHWH will judge the world once more (2 Kepha 3:7). Some writers says that there was no "Big Bang" at the Beginning, but there will certainly be one at the End (2 Kepha 3:10).

  2. Do you believe there is more evidence to support and confirm what the Bible says than there is for evolutionary teachings?

    1. That's a great question, Kevin, but I'm not qualified to say whether there is more evidence either way. The bottom line for me is, we either believe the Bible (from cover to cover), or we don't. We can't try to force Scripture to mingle with evolution or vice-versa. As you know, there is plenty of evidence to show that many of the Bible stories are real, but Scripture is a matter of faith.

We can literally see the Books of Daniel and Revelation unfolding before our eyes today. We've got natural disasters of biblical proportion, wars and terrorist acts, entire Middle Eastern countries emptying out because of maniacal leaders, and moving to Europe. We've got diseases for which there is no cure. We've got lunatic leaders provoking the world with their saber rattling. And - just as Scripture says - people will be as bad as they were "in the days of Noah."

That, in itself, is proof enough for me that the Bible is real.
