Why are we under judgment?

Here are just a couple of examples!

The United States shoved what God considers to be "an abomination" into His Face the day Obama approved "same-sex marriage" - and we expect Him to be okay with it?

Obama also signed pro-abortion bills into law - thus continuing with the leagalization of MURDER ... and we expect YHWH to be okay with it?

Exodus 20:13, "You shall not murder."

Galatians 5:19-21, “19. For you know the works of the flesh, which are these: adultery, impurity and lasciviousness, 20. idolatry, witchcraft, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, stubbornness, treacheries, heresies, 21. Envy, murder, drunkenness, revelry and all like things. Those who do things like these, they will not inherit the Kingdom of Elohim.” (AENT)

1 Tim 1:9-11 - 9 We are aware that Torah is not for a person who is righteous, but for those who are heedless of Torah and rebellious, ungodly and sinful, wicked and worldly, for people who kill their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 the sexually immoral - both heterosexual and homosexual - slave dealers, liars, perjurers, and anyone who acts contrary to the sound teaching 11 that accords with the Good News of the Glorious and blessed God. (CJB)

Leviticus 18: 22 - You are not to go to bed with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination. (CJB)

Romans 1: 22 Claiming to be wise, they have become fools! 23 In fact, they have exchanged the glory of the immortal God for mere images, like a mortal human being, or like birds, animals or reptiles! 24 This is why God has given them up to the vileness of their hearts' lusts, to the shameful misuse of each other's bodies.

25 They have exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, by worshiping and serving created things, rather than the Creator - praised be he for ever. Amen. 26 This is why God has given them up to degrading passions; so that their women exchange natural sexual relations for unnatural; 27 and likewise the men, giving up natural relations with the opposite sex, burn with passion for one another, men committing shameful acts with other men and receiving in their own persons the penalty appropriate to their perversion.

28 In other words, since they have not considered God worth knowing, God has given them up to worthless ways of thinking; so that they do improper things. 29 They are filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and vice; stuffed with jealousy, murder, quarreling, dishonesty and ill-will; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God; they are insolent, arrogant and boastful; they plan evil schemes; they disobey their parents; 31 they are brainless, faithless, heartless and ruthless. 32 They know well enough God's righteous decree that people who do such things deserve to die; yet not only do they keep doing them, but they applaud others who do the same. (CJB)

2 Peter 2: 19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for a person is slave to whatever has defeated him. 20 Indeed, if they have once escaped the pollutions of the world through knowing our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah, and then have again become entangled and defeated by them, their latter condition has become worse than their former. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the Way of righteousness than, fully knowing, to turn from the holy command delivered to them. (CJB)

The bottom line is, while ADONAI promised to never destroy the world by flood again, we ARE told it would be destroyed by fire (2 Peter 3:10) – which means, we are NOT off the hook! Judging by everything that is going on around the world, we can know that this "fire" isn't far off.

THIS IS NOT OKAY! Time to stand up to the thugs!

THIS IS NOT OKAY!

America is out of control, and it's time for take control, by whatever means possible, including Martial Law - since nothing else seems to be working! . Arrests need to be made, and those caught destroying property need to be fined, forced to pay for the damages, AND do community service!

Like I keep saying, I foresee Martial Law in our future BECAUSE of people like this. They are backing America into a corner - and it's time to bare our claws and come out swinging!

For those who don't know what Martial law is, it is a law administered by the military rather than a civilian government. Martial law may be declared in an emergency or response to a crisis, or to control occupied territory.

Well, we've got a crisis on our hands, and it's past time to TAKE ACTION! We CANNOT allow thugs to take over America. Yes, we ARE in the end times as outlined in Scripture - but that doesn't mean we should simply allow the lunatics to run amok without consequences. YHWH constantly commanded HIS people to "rid such evil from among you." (Deuteronomy 17:7; 21:21; etc.)

Most of us cannot physically do anything to "rid ourselves of such evil"; however, we CAN use our voices! Speak out against this vile, demonic behavior on social media! Contact our so-called "leaders" (who don't seem to be doing much of anything) to let them KNOW that we decent, law-abiding, hard-working citizens of the United States are sick and tired of seeing America destroyed by lawless loudmouths whose only agenda is to wreak havoc and destroy everything in their path ...our entire society and everything you and I have worked for all our lives - just to make their ridiculous "statements.".

We all use Facebook to post our thoughts - and now it's time to use it to open our mouths and be heard!

Clearing up some misunderstandings about “the law”

Many seem to have misunderstood the concept that the “law was fulfilled and therefore, abolished; but that is NOT TRUE! Let’s a take a look at the context of the following passage:

Matthew 5: 17 Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. 18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah – not until everything that must happen has happened.

19 So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness is far greater than that of the Torah-teachers and P'rushim, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven! CJB)

Has everything that "must happen" happened yet? Have "heaven and earth passed away? If not, then it seems believers are supposed to BE Torah observant today!

The verse in Matthew 5:17-20 that says: "So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven" is a major key, because it is talking about YHWH's commands!

What commands are they? TORAH commands - which still stand today ... and WE are obligated, as believers, to keep those that we can! We need to pay special attention to those that have the word "forever" or "throughout your generations" attached to them.

Why? Because "forever" hasn't ended yet! Not to mention, "fulfill" never meant "to put an end to." It means, Yeshua came to do His Father's will and to fulfill "the next thing on the agenda".....

"Fulfill", among other things, means to have proper understanding of a scriptural passage, such as recognizing a precise fulfillment of prophecy. Therefore, for instance, when Yeshua says, "This word is fulfilled in your hearing," he means that he is the goal or object of that prophecy and has now arrived on the scene to do his mission as specified according to prophecy.

Now, if the "fulfillment" has not happened yet, as is the case when Yeshua says, "All that is written in the Torah and Prophets must be fulfilled," then it means, quite obviously "kept", "vouchsafed" or "adhered to" – the exact opposite of passing away! That is also why he says, "He who keeps (fulfills) my words shall not taste death!"

A mini-teaching about how Paul constantly promoted Torah...

2 Corinthians 3:1. Do we begin again to show you who we are? Or do we need, like others, that letters of recommendation from us should be written to you? Or, that you should write recommendations of us? 2. You are our epistles, written on our hearts and known and read by every man.

3. For you know that you are an epistle of the Mashiyach, ministered by us; not written with ink, but by the Spirit of the Living Elohim; not on tablets of stone, but on the tablets of the heart of flesh.[1]

4. And such confidence we have in the Mashiyach towards Elohim; 5. Not that we are sufficient to think any thing, as of ourselves; but our efficiency is from Elohim: 6. Who has fitted us to be ministers of the Renewed Covenant,[2] not in the letter, but in the Spirit; for the letter kills,[3] but the Spirit gives life.

7. Now if the ministration of death was engraved upon stones in writing, and was so glorious that the children of Israel could not look on the face of Moshe[4] on account of the glory upon his face which vanished away;

8. How then will not the ministration of the Spirit be still more glorious? 9. For if there was glory in the ministration of condemnation,[5] how much more will the ministration of righteousness excel in glory? 10. For that which was glorious was as if not glorious in comparison with this which excels in glory.

11. For if that (condemnation) which is abolished[6] was glorious, much more must, that which abides be glorious. 12. Seeing therefore we have this hope, we the more, speak with boldness; 13. And are not like Moshe, who threw a veil over his face that the children of Israel might not behold the termination of that (condemnation) which was abolished.

14. But they were blinded in their understanding because until this day, when the Ancient Covenant is read, the same veil rests upon them; nor is it manifest (to them), that it (condemnation) is abolished by the Mashiyach. 15. And to this day, when Moshe is read, a veil is thrown upon their hearts.

16. But when any of them is turned to Master YHWH, the veil is taken from him.[7] 17. Now Master YHWH Himself is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of Master YHWH is, there is freedom.

18. And we all, with uncovered faces, behold as in a mirror the glory of Master YHWH; and are transformed into the same likeness, from glory to glory, as by Master YHWH the Spirit.

[1] Paul is clearly referencing Jeremiah 31:33, indicating Torah is being written upon the heart. See also Ezekiel 18:31; 36:26-28.

[2] Again a reference to Jeremiah 31:33. See also Matthew 26:28.

[3] The “letter” and “Spirit” are not opposites. In verse 1 Rav Shaul begins by explaining how a “letter” in itself is not sufficient for his purposes, and how those in Corinth are not epistles written with ink, but in the Spirit of Elohim.

The letter points out flaws. When we study the letter, sins of the weak flesh are exposed; our “natural” man is condemned to death to create a new birth according to YHWH’s Spirit.

Christian theology, however, teaches the “letter” refers to Torah, and that Torah is contrary to the spiritual man, which is a rather evil theology considering that mainstream Christians are already keeping over 60 percent of Torah.

Torah contains righteous directives of how to live and love, as well as the Covenant of promise that necessitates Mashiyach. In this discourse Rav Shaul is juxtaposing condemnation as a function of the letter; he is most certainly not discrediting the Torah of YHWH as it pertains to the Spiritual Man (Romans 7:14; 8:4).

Torah is the Word of YHWH: “For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this WORD you shall prolong your days in the land.” Deuteronomy 32:47

[4] Shemot/Exodus 34:29 “And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.”

[5] Ministration of death is also the ministration of condemnation which comes against the sins of the carnal man. If a man steals he is condemned; if he commits adultery or lies, he is condemned when he reads the Letter.

[6] Condemnation is abolished when the Ruach haKodesh writes Torah upon the heart, which brings the end of breaking Torah! However, Christian theologians twist this verse to teach that Paul brought an end to Torah itself.

[7] The reading of Torah does not blind, nor does the reading of the “Renewed Covenant” bring Grace: but in each, one must “turn to Master YHWH with their hearts” to remove the veil. MarYah/YHWH is used here, rather than Y’shua.

Rather than people turning to Y’shua as the deciding factor, the point is that both Jews and Gentiles must be truthful, and not just use prayers or Scripture readings as some sort of magical incantation, but to turn their hearts to YHWH. In many places Y’shua teaches that he came to bring Glory to the Father, and to turn hearts unto YHWH.

Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise: The Name above all Names is יהוה - YHWH ("Yahweh")

Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise:  The Name above all Names is יהוה - YHWH ("Yahweh")

John 17: 11. Henceforth, I will not be in the world, and these are in the world. And I am coming to Your presence. Kadosh[1] Father, keep them by your Name[2], that which you have given to me, that they may be one as We are. 12. I was with them while I was in the world. I have kept them in your Name[3]; those whom you have given to me, I have kept. And not a man of them is lost except for the son of perdition, that the Scriptures might be fulfilled. 13. And now I come to Your presence, and these things I speak in the world that my joy may be full in them. 14. I have given to them Your Word and the world hates them because they are not of the world as I am not of the world. (AENT)

[1] Kadosh/Set Apart means that YHWH and His Word will never change; we can put our trust in Him knowing He will keep His Word. See Unity of the Name of YHWH in Appendix.

[2] A very key passage. Aramaic literally reads that YHWH gave His Name to Y'shua; therefore, he has the Name of his Father within him.

[3] Y'shua keeps them in YHWH's name so when we call upon YHWH in Y'shua's name, we are calling on YHWH for Salvation. As the Name of YHWH is in Mashiyach, so are we to have the name of Mashiyach in us, which means that as followers of Y'shua we are to walk according to his righteousness, observe Torah and walk in the anointing of the Ruach haKodesh as Mashiyach demonstrated to us.

Y'shua (as opposed to "Jesus") means "Yahweh is salvation". It is the shortened form of YEHOSHUA (Joshua in English, again, not "Jesus"). Moshe told the nation that the THE PROPHET would come after him that the people must listen to, so is it any coincidence that THE PROPHET has the SAME NAME as Moshe's successor? In Zechariah 6:1-12 we are told (actually starting in chapter 3, and then into 6) that the high priest and his colleagues are "symbols of things to come" and of the high priest, "here is the man WHOSE NAME IS THE BRANCH", not that he IS the branch, but his NAME is the branch.

Well, it so happens that Messiah is from "Branch City", NETZER-ET (Nazareth), and Messiah is called the RIGHTEOUS BRANCH (Isaiah 11:1-2, Jeremiah 23:5-6). So the name of the branch and the name of the Messiah are ONE AND THE SAME, and the name of the high priest? YEHOSHUA! Fast forward 500 years later and the Hebrew dialect changed to shorten the name to Y'shua.

This should hardly be surprising, and it is an integral part of Messianic prophecy. In Exodus 23:20-22 YHWH warns the Israelites of a messenger who will lead them. He gives a proviso for this messenger: He will NOT forgive your sin. Now why say this? Has any messenger EVER been able to forgive sin? No, but as Y'shua said, "Which is easier to say? That your sins are forgiven or to the paralyzed, "Arise and walk, take up your pallet and go home? BUT SO YOU WILL KNOW THE SON OF MAN HAS THE AUTHORITY TO FORGIVE SINS (Daniel 7:1-14), I say, Arise and walk." In Hebrew the word for MESSENGER--malakh--can also be pointed to mean MELECH (king). This is a remez (hint).

So, understanding all that, also understand that since only YHWH can forgive sin, Y'shua must be YHWH to do so also, and it is this role conducting YHWH's Ruach that Messiah filtered through his human voice to proclaim YHWH's kingdom on earth. (In other words, the Son of Man/Messiah, is given authority on earth to forgive sin by His Father in a way no angel, prophet or other messenger was. Such is apparent from Daniel chapter 7 and the two thrones. Y'shua comes in the Name and therefore in the power of his Father but his authority is not independent from his Father.)

This messenger/king then COULD forgive sin (or why warn that he won't?), and the reason he can is that UNLIKE ALL OTHER ANGELS, HE HAS THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES, NOT THE TITLE BUT THE ACTUAL NAME, for Exodus 23:20-22 says clearly 'FOR MY NAME IS IN HIM". Yahweh has ONE NAME and there is ONE NAME under heaven by which men are saved (Acts 4:12).

Y'shua came to bring glory to his Father YHWH, to show the proper interpretation (fulfillment) of the Torah and to bring Pharisee and tax collector alike back to the WRITTEN CODE of Moshe and away from Oral Law. ("You have heard that it was SAID....but I SAY TO YOU....If you believed Moshe, you would have believed me, for he wrote of me, but if you do not believe Moshe, how will you believe what I say?--Did not Moshe give you the Torah? Yet not ONE MAN AMONG YOU KEEPS THE TORAH!")

The name above all names has YAH in it, not EL. Every other angel in Scripture has EL in the name (MichaEL, RaphaEL, GabriEL), not one has YAH, except Messiah, who comes in the NAME, and therefore POWER, of his Father YHWH. The Father gives life to the Son (John 10) and the Son then has the power to lay that life down freely and pick it up again, so allowing the rest of us access to eternal life.

HIS NAME IS יהוה --IT ALWAYS WAS...

1 Corinthians 5 – a study about sexual sin, using Passover imagery

Here is a surprising teaching from 1 Corinthian 5, concerning sexual sin – which is just as prevalent today as it was in "biblical times."

Take a look:

1 Corinthians 5:1. In short, it is reported, there is sexual sin among you; and such sexual sin as is not even named among the pagans, that a son should even take the wife of his father. 2. And you are puffed up, and have not rather sat down in grief, that he who has done this deed might be separated from you.

3. And I, while distant from you in body but present with you in spirit, have already, as if present, judged him who perpetrated this deed; 4. That all of you assemble together, in the name of our Master Y’shua Mashiyach,* and I with you in spirit, together with the power of our Master Y’shua Mashiyach; 5. And that you deliver him over to Satan, for the destruction of the flesh, that in spirit he may have life, in the day of our Master Y’shua Mashiyach. (AENT)

* That “name” - Y’shua Mashiyach - is the same as YHWH’s (John 17:11) and means “YHWH is salvation.” Once the basic understanding is in place of how all this comes from YHWH, it is acceptable to gather it all together and declare this affirmation of faith in YHWH and give thanks to His Son.

Now here is something most of you have probably never heard – this passage contains some Passover references to this “sexual sin” issue … passages that even serve to help explain what Passover is all about.

1 Corinthians 5:6. Your bragging is not praiseworthy. Don’t you know, that a little leaven leavens the whole mass? 7. Purge out from you the old leaven,** that you may be a new mass, as you are unleavened. For our Passover is the Mashiyach, who was slain for us.*** 8. Therefore let us celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of wickedness and bitterness, but with the leaven of purity and sanctity.

** According to the Aramaic, the word for “leaven” here is makhmae, the cognate in Hebrew of which is chometz. Therefore, Rav Shaul is teaching the Corinthians by using Passover imagery, by commanding them to purge the chometz from the house of their hearts, so that they can be sanctified. Of course, the rest of this verse and the next proves this interpretation.

*** While Y’shua was certainly slain, it is imperative to remember that he was NOT “sacrificed”; he was our substitute, the one who willingly redeemed us! Not to mention, the original "Passover lambs" were not even "sin offerings" as most people seem to believe. Those lambs served as SUBSTITUTES; they were OFFERED, not "sacrificed."

BOTTOM LINE: The "angel of death" passed over the believing Hebrews when the lamb's blood was on their door posts. So, the lamb's blood was offered as a SUBSTITUTE, giving the Hebrew first-born males the chance to live. Likewise – the Divine Blood of Y’shua REDEEMED you and me because he willingly “sacrificed” his life on our behalf… (For more on this, please see our website’s article, Was Yeshua the Passover Lamb -https://www.therefinersfire.org/passover_lamb.htm)

Continuing with the lesson on sexual sin in 1 Corinthians 5:

1 Corinthians 5:9. I wrote to you by letter, not to mingle with sexual sinners. 10. But I say not, with the sexual sinners who are in the world, nor (speak I) of the avaricious, or of the rapacious, or of the idol-worshippers, otherwise you would be obliged to go out of the world.

11. But this is what I wrote to you, that you don’t mix, if anyone is called a brother, and is a sexual sinner, or avaricious, or an idol-worshipper, or a charlatan, or a drunkard, or rapacious, with him who is such, not even to eat bread.**** 12. For what business have I to judge them who are without? But those within the body, judge you, 13. And those without, Elohim judges; and remove you the wickedness from among you. (AENT)

NOTES:

**** Breaking of bread, of course, is a timeworn Middle Eastern custom that is done only with family and friends. If you cannot eat with someone (as Peter tried to separate himself in Galatians 2:13), then you cannot associate with them at all.

If the sinner was out of the assembly, you were not permitted to persecute them. However, you could, and in fact you must, demand that such a person put away detestable habits if they are to join the assembly and partake of the communal and havdilah meals that Y’shua and his disciples enjoyed.

THE LESSON here is that we cannot and should not “mix” with sinners. YHWH has always expected HIS people to be HOLY – set apart from the world. We can’t be set apart if we make excuses….

A tidbit about Paul and Torah…

Whenever Abba opens our eyes to Torah and we begin to obey, we will ALWAYS receive opposition from pastors, family and friends. Always. They will always insist that we've "put ourselves back under the law."

And that is because they don't understand that the "law" actually refers to YHWH's Divine teachings and instructions, without which we would have no blueprint for moral, holy living.

They don't understand that His original "thus saith the Lord" teachings are all contained within the Torah, the first five Books of the Bible - and that His Divine Messiah, Yeshua, taught those same instructions and never veered from Torah.

And neither did his Apostles nor Disciples....

Unfortunately, havoc was wreaked upon the Bible, once the "Greek mindset" came along, with its limited understanding of the "deeper" meanings of the Hebrew language.

That is why Christianity is actually based more on the misunderstood writings of Paul, than on Torah.

Here are just a few examples:

Acts 28: 23 "From morning till evening the Apostle Paul explained and declared the Kingdom of God and tried to convince people about Yeshua from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets."

Acts 24: 14. But this indeed I (Paul) acknowledge, that in that same doctrine of which they speak, I do serve the Elohim of my fathers, believing all the things written in Torah and in the prophets.

Romans 3:31: Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law....

QUESTION: Do any of the above passages sound like someone was attempting to negate Torah?

Paul NEVER negated Torah!

Romans 15: 4. For everything written of old was written for our instruction; that we, by patience and by the consolation of the Scriptures, might possess hope. (AENT)

The passage above is one of the clearest pro-Torah statements in all of Romans. Rav Shaul (Paul) believed that "everything written of old" is for the instruction of the Gentiles; this clearly indicates Paul's intent. Compare this statement to Romans 3:31 and 7:12.

Now, look at this:

Romans 15: 9. And that the Gentiles might glorify Elohim for his mercies upon them, as it is written: I will confess to you among the Gentiles, and to your name will I sing psalms. 10. And again he said: Rejoice, you Gentiles, with His people. 11. And again he said: Praise Master YHWH, all you Gentiles; (and) laud him, all you nations. (AENT)

"His People" refers to YHWH's people, Israel. The Gentiles are fully invited and expected to join in together with Netzari (Nazarene) synagogue practice, as one people, into one Kingdom according to One Torah.

As you can clearly see in the few examples above, Paul’s writings were severely misunderstood. Even Peter mentioned that Paul's writings would be hard to understand and that people would ultimately twist Paul's teachings – which they did!

2 Peter 3: 15 And think of our Lord's patience as deliverance, just as our dear brother Sha'ul also wrote you, following the wisdom God gave him. 16 Indeed, he speaks about these things in all his letters. They contain some things that are hard to understand, things which the uninstructed and unstable distort, to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. 17 But you, dear friends, since you know this in advance, guard yourselves; so that you will not be led away by the errors of the wicked and fall from your own secure position. (CJB)

THE BOTTOM LINE IS: YHWH will open the spiritual eyes of all those who truly want to have a closer relationship with Him. But, in order to do that, we MUST let go of these old myths:

(1) Torah was only for the Jews. (Torah doesn't indicate that at all.)

(2) God is only all about “grace and love”. (If that is true, then why does Proverbs 28:9 say that if one isn't Torah observant, even his prayer is an abomination?)

(3) Jesus came to bring a new religion called “Christianity” (No - he came to proclaim the Kingdom and do everything his Father commanded - Deuteronomy 18:15-18; John 6:35-40; Luke 4: 43 and Luke 8:1)

(4) All that’s required to get to heaven is to "believe in Jesus.”

John 17: 1. Y'shua spoke these things and he lifted up his eyes to Heaven and said My Father the hour has come. Glorify your Son so that your Son might glorify you. 2. Just as you have given him authority over all flesh that whomever You have given him, he will give to him life that is eternal. 3. Now this is life that is eternal, that they might know You, that You are the Elohim of Truth, and he alone whom You have sent, the Mashiyach Y'shua. (AENT)

When you read and actually STUDY the Torah, you will see exactly why all those myths are just that: MYTHS! The truth is, if you believe in,.and live by those myths, you may NOT get to spend eternity with YHWH because ... if you're not following HIS commands, then whose are you following?….

Have you seen the list of demands by those "CHAZ" twits in Seattle?

Have you seen the list of demands by those "CHAZ" twits in Seattle? Click here and check it out.

They basically want FREE everything and NO law enforcement or imprisonment. (Gosh - that would make it so much easier to rob convenience stores, wouldn't it? It would enable those lazy morons to basically just take what they want from hard-working citizens who actually CONTRIBUTE something to society..)

MY UNSOLICITED ADVICE: Grow up, stop whining and blaming everyone else for your lot in life, get a JOB, integrate into normal, working society and start contributing something to make this world a better place. Get rid of your "entitled" mentality and BECOME the person God designed you to be!

How will the end times unfold?

READER QUESTION:

Just wondering if I could get your opinion on how the end times will unfold.  I find it all so confusing.

OUR RESPONSE:

GREAT question, and we invite you to read our article about the end times scenario at Yeshua’s return which, in short, describes the following and includes plenty of scripture references.

People will be born, live and die until he returns.  When he returns (on some future Yom Teruah.Rosh haShana (I'm thinking by 2030 at the latest, judging by everything that is going on), he will simply appear one day.

When he does, all those who have died since the day HE died (contrary to popular belief, nobody goes to heaven immediately after they die!), will be the first to resurrect (not bodily - as our bodies are filthy and return to dust), and then we who happen to still be alive after all the things that are happening and will continue to happen.

We will then be in that other dimension for a short while where YHWH resides, to have the Marriage Supper of the Lamb - and then we will all return to rule and reign with Yeshua for a thousand years.

The people of earth WILL recognize us because, like Adam and Eve, we will be "glowing" (like Moshe when he came down off the mountain after being in YHWH's Presence for 40 days).  Same with Yeshua.  EVERY KNEE will bow and recognize HIM!!!!

Bottom line - our "new bodies" won't be like our old bodies.  They will constantly be in touch with YHWH, with no "skin covering" like we have now.

People will still continue to be born and die during that time.  Many will NOT end up as believers, even though the world will be led ONLY by Yeshua, and that's why satan will be loosed "for a time" toward the end of that thousand years, so those people can make up their mind whether to continue following him, or to repent.

And then at the end of that millennium, this earth will somehow be gone, and we will receive a new heavan and new earth to live on for eternity with YHWH/Yeshua.

Does Deuteronomy 23:2 mean all who were born illegitimately would not be part of YHWH'S people?

READER QUESTION:

Deuteronomy 23:2

Does that mean all individuals who were born illegitimately would not be part of YHWH'S people? Or am I missing something? How long is a generation according to the Bible? Is it 40 years?

OUR RESPONSE":

Deuteronomy 23:2 A mamzer may not enter the assembly of Adonai, nor may his descendants down to the tenth generation enter the assembly of Adonai.

First off, let’s clarify that the meaning of "mamzer" is uncertain. The word is used only one time in the Tanakh, and two times in the New Testament. The Tanakh, in fact, renders the word as "misbegotten", a clear indication that the meaning of the word, even in Judaism, is not at all understood. It only evolved into the common understanding of "a child of a Jewish father and a heathen mother", or "one of illegitimate birth", or as the KJV crudely puts it "a bastard".

There is a great body of evidence, however, to conclude that the term only meant that the mamzer simply could not fully participate in in religious rites at the Temple. In other words, the child is perfectly welcome to receive the rights, but could not participate (call it "hold office" if you wish) in the administering any religious rights on others.

Similarly problematic is the previous verse! "A man with crushed or damaged private parts may not enter the assembly of Adonai." We can see that it can be understood in the same manner.
There are many verses in the Bible which are very hard to comprehend today because we don't have the ancient language and cultural background to rely on for an accurate interpretation while we only read and try to understand using modern language.

As for your question about "generation" - when we read “generation” in the Bible, we have to consider the context. Usually, a generation in the Bible is roughly thirty years long or the people living during that time, the same as what we understand a generation to be in everyday talk.

There’s an an epidemic of God's people participating in vicious gossip….

There seems to be an epidemic of God's people participating in vicious gossip - and this has never been more evident than in the past few months, since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and the BLM "protests" that kicked off riots and looting and all manner of decadent behavior.

Gossip.. In Hebrew it's called "lashon hara", which means "evil tongue."

What constitutes lashon hara? Derogatory messages of any kind about another person; deliberately spreading falsehoods (or even things that may be true) in order to hurt someone's reputation without employing any attempts to correct or improve a negative situation.

Lashon hara can be spread in many ways including face-to-face conversation, letters, telephone, email and on "social media" sites such as Facebook - where it has grown to epidemic proportions, with myriads espousing their exalted opinions, and passing them off as "truth."..

What is disturbing is that so many Believers are choosing to engage in this sinful activity!

It isn't "bad" to have an opinion about the government, a particular leader; or current events. What's "bad" is when something that leader may (or may not) have done is being used against him/her and ultimately "twisted into a lie" in hopes of making others believe the lie.

We are in the world, but not "of it" and unfortunately, we must learn to deal with it - not like the heathens do, but according to YHWH's Torah. God's people are to be holy/set apart, "taking every thought captive" (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Deliberately spreading vicious rumors about someone (whether or not there's any truth to them is irrelevant), is NOT pleasing to YHWH...in part, because we are to be His ambassadors, constantly trying to reach others for Him. How you can reach the lost if you're out there being vicious and behaving in a carnal manner?

Matthew 12:34 "Generation of vipers! How are you able to speak good things, you who are evil? For the mouth speaks from the fullness of the heart. 35. A good man brings forth good from his good treasures, and the evil man brings evil from his evil treasure. 36. I say to you for every vain word that the sons of men speak, they will give an account of it in the day of judgment. 37. For by your words you will be made righteous, and by your words you will be condemned." (AENT, See also Deut. 32:21)

There is no scripture commanding us to slander others with vicious gossip. We are to "rebuke them sharply that they may be sound in the faith" (Leviticus 19:17, Titus 1:13, 1 Timothy 5:20); we are to "warn a divisive person once, then a second time, and after that, have nothing more to do with him" (Titus 3:10); we are to "beware of" and "stand distant from" those who refuse to follow YHWH's commands (Romans 16:17-18) and we are to do the following:

2 Timothy 2:15 Do all you can to present yourself to Elohim as someone worthy of his approval, as a worker with no need to be ashamed, because he deals straightforwardly with the Word of the Truth. 16 But keep away from godless babbling, for those who engage in it will only become more ungodly, 17 and their teaching will eat away at people like gangrene. (CJB)

We are to turn godless people over to God; not become their judge and jury. Certainly, we can approach them with HIS Truth; but if they refuse, let them go and leave them alone. HE will deal with them in HIS timing! (See Matthew 12:36, 2 Peter 3:10-13, Romans 2:16, etc.) PRAY for them in hopes they will some day see YHWH's Truth; don't malign them; that's not your job!

But, before we can lead someone to the Truth, WE must be a light, and exemplify the meaning of "holy." If we don't, then we are nothing but opinionated hypocrites, attempting to lead others to "our" own, personal ideas of "truth"...

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ADONAI while he is available, call on him while he is still nearby. 7 Let the wicked person abandon his way and the evil person his thoughts; let him return to ADONAI, and he will have mercy on him; let him return to our God, for he will freely forgive.(CJB)

Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (AENT)

Ephesians 5:4 Neither obscenities nor words of foolishness, or of division, or of falsehood, which are not useful; but instead of these, thanksgiving. (AENT)

James 1:26 And if anyone thinks that he worships Elohim and does not subdue his tongue, but his heart deceives him; his worship is desolate. (AENT)

Titus 1:16 And they profess that they know Elohim, but in their works they deny him; and they are odious and disobedient and to every good work reprobates. (AENT)

Unless you’re solidly grounded in the BIBLE, stay away from those “uncanonized” books called the Apocrypha!

Be very careful of those who believe in and attempt to tout the extra-biblical books of the Catholic Bible called the Apocrypha!

The Apocrypha consists of books such as Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Jasher or Enoch, and a couple of others. Those are books that the people who canonized the Bible, didn't include because they either contained doubtful authenticity, or they had unknown authorship, were of doubtful origins, or were historically or geographically off the mark - and therefore we can't really pick and choose what to believe in them.

We simply have to remember, they are NOT part of the Bible for a reason! Yet, many people who find their way to Torah, FLOCK to these books, because they think they contain "secrets" that have been kept from us – one example being that the angel called “Gadreel” is actually Cain’s father… never mind that SCRIPTURE says Adam and Eve had Cain: Genesis 4:1.

The reality is, veering from your study of Scripture to pursue knowledge from those EXTRA-Biblical, UNCANONIZED books, is like coming upon a massive, bloody car pileup on the freeway. No matter how gory, your mind WANTS to see .... and then you have nightmares because you can't un-see people’s brains and guts all over the road.

Unfortunately, most people seem to be conspiracy theorists, drawn to things that aren't necessarily true or are somehow "forbidden knowledge." Reading those books gives people the idea that they're privy to "something they shouldn't know" - and, to them, it becomes way more important than actual Scripture. As a matter of fact, once they start reading those books, they don't even know if they're reading an actual copy of Jasher or Enoch, or whatever, because there are many “fakes” of those books out there….

"There is no god"….

I just saw a stunning comment on Facebook, where someone insisted, "There is no god."

YIKES! Really?

So, I wrote:

If there is no God then how do you explain that myriad Bible prophecies have already unfolded, and continue to unfold before our very eyes?

I mean, TWO of these prophecies came to pass in 1948 when God used Hitler's Holocaust to make a couple of His "end times" prophecies come true!

Isaiah's prophecies about (1) Israel becoming a nation once more and (2) that it would happen in ONE DAY) came to pass in 1948 when the world briefly felt sorry for the Jews and returned Israel to them - which happened in ONE DAY.... (See Isaiah 66:7-8.)

Just some random thoughts

My husband and I are forever in Scripture in one way or another, learning, growing and updating our knowledge in hopes of getting an ever-closer relationship with YHWH/Yeshua.

Our present knowledge comes from 20+ years of diligent, daily study, constantly learning and - using plenty of discernment - discarding those things that we discover were off the mark, and then updating our knowledge with the help of the Ruach (Holy Spirit) and scholars we trust (of which there are very few)…

I've noticed over the years that way too many people stay "stuck in a rut" when it comes to Scripture.  They tend to do one of several things:

(1) They  simply accept the Scripture translations as they are; never questioning  anything, and consequently, never really learning or growing. They don't know God and treat Him like He's their fairy-godfather, someone they can boss around, demanding He fix their broken lives; forever ordering Him to bless them and others.

They don't realize He doesn't work that way, or that accepting YHWH/Yeshua/Torah requires some WORK on their part (i.e. obedience to His Divine Instructions).  Because they don't know Scripture, they haven't got a clue that a relationship with God is a two-way street.

(2)  They don't bother to read the Bible at all.  Ever. They simply pick up  snippets in church or from Facebook or wherever, and pretend they know  enough about it to fool God into thinking they're holy.

(Most of the people I've questioned admit they have NOT read “the whole  Bible”;  while others admit they’ve only either “read the New Testament”  or  “picked their way through” and read only certain passages.)

(3)  And then we have those who go to the other extreme of accepting  absolutely nothing, or very little of what they read; and simply  formulate their own opinions which they then view as “truth” … and then  pass it onto others who thrive on “ear tickling” nonsense and conspiracy  theories.

(4)  And then we also have those who have found their  way to the Truth of YHWH/Yeshua/Torah, who believe they now have ALL the  answers and immediately view themselves as qualified "teachers" ...  teaching, of course, personal opinions formulated from what they "now  know" coupled with certain dragged-in dogmas from the past, mixed into  half-truths gleaned from other self-proclaimed "teachers"...

It is therefore no wonder that there is a "great falling away" in progress!  Bil and I have communicated with people who decided to become atheists or  agnostics because “they were so disappointed at having been duped all  their life”; while still others are on a perpetual merry-go-round of “religion  hopping” because they’re looking for something that “feels right” to  them.

One of the most serious offenses by Believers is a trend to “reject” Paul …  which then leads to rejecting Yeshua, which of course means one has to ultimately  reject the entire New Testament.

And then what?  Well, they  start following Jewish counter-missionary rabbis who make their living  taking Christians and Messianics away from the WHOLE Truth, and drawing  them into Judaism … for the purpose of “using” those people against  those of us who are into YHWH/Yeshua/Torah….

The thing is, PEOPLE  are their own worst enemies.  Instead of seeking the Ruach and asking  God to please help them learn and grow and constantly update their  knowledge, they mostly tend to jump straight from one end of the  pendulum to the other, totally missing the “middle” yet eagerly  accepting what they found “way over on the other side.”

Scripture  says this would happen.  All we can is to be a LIGHT and pray for our families and friends, while keeping in mind that Matthew 7:13-14  tells us that MOST will NOT be taking that “narrow gate that leads to  life.”

Don’t forget that God is sending us plenty of warnings these days!

Take a look at what the Prophet Ezekiel in the 6th-century BCE said concerning YHWH’s people Israel - and try to count the many similarities you see today! (And folks, Scripture warns us that it will only get worse before it gets better, which is why it is imperative that we get ourselves "right" with ADONAI immediately.)

Ezekiel 22:

1 The word of ADONAI came to me: 2 "Now, human being, are you prepared to judge? Are you prepared to judge the city drenched in blood? Then make her realize how disgusting all her practices are!

3 Say that Adonai ELOHIM says, 'City that sheds blood within yourself, thus speeding your own doom, and that makes idols for yourself that defile you: 4 you are guilty because of the blood you have shed, you are defiled by your idols that you have made. You have shortened your days, you have completed your years; therefore I have made you an object of scorn for the nations and a laughingstock for every country.

5 Those close by and those far off will taunt you, you who have such a defiled reputation and such great disorder. 6 "'The leaders of Isra'el in you all use their power in order to shed blood.

7 In you, they make light of fathers and mothers, they oppress foreigners, they wrong orphans and widows. 8 You treat my holy things with contempt, you profane my shabbats. 9 In you, people gossip to the point of inciting bloodshed; in you are those who go to eat on the mountains; in you, they commit lewd acts; 10 in you, they commit incest; in you, they force themselves on women during their menstrual impurity.

11 In you, one commits an abomination with his neighbor's wife; another commits some lewd act defiling his daughter-in-law; still another humbles his sister, his own father's daughter. 12 In you, people take bribes to shed blood; you demand and accept interest on loans; in greed you make profits off your neighbors by extorting them; and you have forgotten me,' says Adonai ELOHIM. 13 "'Therefore, I am clapping my hands together because of your ill-gotten gains and the blood shed in you.

14 Can your courage last, can your strength continue during the days when I deal with you? I, ADONAI, have spoken it; and I will do it. 15 I will scatter you among the Goyim and disperse you throughout the countries; thus I will remove your defilement from you, 16 and you will cause yourselves to be profaned in full view of the Goyim. Then you will know that I am ADONAI.'"

17 The word of ADONAI came to me: 18 "Human being, the house of Isra'el has become an alloy of base metals for me; they are all copper, tin, iron and lead mixed together in the crucible, the dross left over from the silver. 19 Therefore Adonai ELOHIM says this: 'Because you have all become dross, I will collect all of you inside Yerushalayim.

20 Then, just as they collect silver, copper, iron, lead and tin into a crucible and blow fire on it to melt it down; so likewise I will collect you in my anger and fury, throw you in there, and melt you down. 21 Yes, I will collect you and blow on you with the fire of my rage, and you will be melted down in it. 22 As silver is melted down in a crucible, so will you be melted down in [Yerushalayim]. Then you will know that it is I, ADONAI, who have poured out my fury on you.'"

23 The word of ADONAI came to me: 24 "Human being, tell her this: 'You are a land that is neither cleansed nor rained on in the day of fury. 25 There is a conspiracy of prophets in it like a roaring lion tearing up the prey; they have devoured people, seized wealth and valuables, and widowed many in it.

26 Her cohanim have done violence to my Torah, profaned my holy things, made no difference between the holy and the common, not distinguished between unclean and clean, hidden their eyes from my shabbats, and profaned me among themselves. 27 Her leaders in it are like wolves tearing up the prey to shed blood and destroy people, in order to benefit unjustly.

28 Her prophets have "plastered" for them with whitewash, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, "Thus says Adonai ELOHIM," when ADONAI has not spoken. 29 The people of the land have extorted, robbed, wronged the poor and needy and unjustly oppressed foreigners.

30 "'I sought for a man among them who could build a barricade or stand in the break to oppose me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. 31 Therefore I am pouring out my fury on them, consuming them with the fire of my rage, bringing their own ways on their own heads,' says Adonai ELOHIM." SHAME ON Janai Norman for broaching the subject racism with her two-year-old !

I'm sorry, but any respect I might have had for Janai Norman is now out the window! Any mother of ANY color who allows her two-year-old to watch protests and riots on TV and then actually tries to explain racism to him, needs a swift kick in the butt, along with being fired from her journalism job, because journalists are supposed to have more SENSE than that!

(And don't even get me started on people who took their little ones with them on those protests, because they are too STUPID for words!)

But hey - what a way to PROMOTE racism, eh? … by "explaining racism" to your TODDLER, and making sure that you make YOURSELF out to be the victim, while giving him the idea that all Whites and the policemen are BAD guys….

Way to go, Janai!

But hey, golly gee, since you were having grown-up discussions with your sweet and innocent little TWO YEAR OLD, perhaps you could have mentioned that when he grows up, he shouldn't commit a crime, but if he does, and gets caught, he should COOPERATE with police instead of arguing and escalating the situation. I mean, if we're going to get REAL here, let's present ALL sides, shall we?

My GOD, what a pathetic world we live in! SHAME ON YOU, Janai! When we finally decide to watch the news on TV again, we will make SURE to turn the channel when YOU come on!

Would Yeshua really ask his Father, "Why have you forsaken me?"

Did you know that Yeshua, in his final death throes, never said, "Why have you forsaken me?" He said, "Why have you spared me?"  YHWH NEVER, EVER "forsook" His Son!  Why would He?  Yeshua's death was prophesied! It HAD to come to pass, or else Yeshua could not have been our Redemption.

Here's a look at the Aramaic translation:

Matthew 27: 46. And about the ninth hour, Y’shua cried out with a loud voice and said, My El! My El! [Lemana shabakthani] Why have you spared me? (AENT)

FOOTNOTE:

Y’shua was not necessarily quoting Psalm 22, although the imagery of the Psalm is certainly intended by Matthew. Greek is transliterated Eli, Eli lama sabacthani, but Peshitta and Psalm 22 read: Eli, Eli lama azbatani.

Many Bibles read "forsaken" from which came a false teaching that the Father left Y’shua destitute (Marcionite thinking). Isaiah 53:4 indicates that "we" reckoned him smitten of Elohim, but it is not YHWH who tortured His own son, but men motivated by religious tradition. Psalm 22 references those who scorned Y’shua for his Faith in YHWH and called him a worm (detested), but Father YHWH does not forsake the righteous, nor does He at any time "forsake" His own Son – see Psalm 9:9, 10; 37:25; 71:11; Isaiah 49:14-16.

Y'shua says "Eli" (my El). He is in great physical pain after being brutally tortured; those around him were confused about whether he was saying "Eli-yah" or "Eliyahu". If Hebrew eyewitnesses were not sure of what he was saying, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Greek transliteration was also wrong, putting "lama sabacthani" rather than "lemana shabakthani."

Perhaps the reason Y’shua says "why are you sparing me" is because he has proven his commitment by laying down his life and has already endured about six hours of the execution! So, it’s not a matter of being "forsaken" but that he literally means, "Father, I'm ready, why can’t we finish this?" In a matter of moments from saying this, he dies, which fully supports this interpretation.

Peter, the Rock?

ISN’T IT STRANGE that the Catholic Church has decided that Peter (Kefa) is the Rock or Cornerstone of the Catholic Church - never mind that Peter denied Yeshua three times in the hours before Yeshua was nailed to the stake?

Take a look:

Matthew 26:69 Kefa was sitting outside in the courtyard when a servant girl came up to him. “You too were with Yeshua from the Galil,” she said. 70 But he denied it in front of everyone — “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” 71 He went out onto the porch, and another girl saw him and said to the people there, “This man was with Yeshua of Natzeret.”

72 Again he denied it, swearing, “I don’t know the man!” 73 After a little while, the bystanders approached Kefa and said, “You must be one of them — your accent gives you away.” 74 This time he began to invoke a curse on himself as he swore, “I do not know the man!” — and immediately a rooster crowed. 75 Kefa remembered what Yeshua had said, “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times”; and he went outside and cried bitterly. (CJB)

But WE know who the TRUE “Rock” is!

Matthew 16:13. And when Y’shua came to the region of Caesarea of Philippi, he was asking his disciples and said, Concerning me, who do men say that I am, merely a son of a man? 14. And they said, “Some say Yochanan the Immerser, but others Eliyahu (Elijah). And others Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah), or one of the prophets. 15. He said to them, But who do you say that I am?

16. Shimon Keefa (Simon Peter) said, “You are the Mashiyach, the Son of the Living Elohim.” 17. Y’shua answered him and said, Blessed are you Shimon, the son of Yona, because flesh and blood have not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18. I say also to you that you are Keefa, and on this Keefa[*] I will build my assembly, and the gates of Sheol will not subdue it…. (AENT)

FOOTNOTE:

This is a wordplay between Keefa the man and what his nickname means. Y’shua uses Keefa’s name to reveal the significance of Keefa’s conclusion. Neither flesh nor blood (an individual) can reveal the “nature” of Mashiyach, except YHWH Himself by the Ruach haKodesh!

Using the literal meaning of Keefa’s name (rock), Y’shua brings together the understanding of the Tsur (Rock) of D’varim/Deut 32:18, 30, 31; Psalm 18:46; 61; 62; Isaiah 8:14; 17:10; 51:1-8. When Shimon Keefa says, “You are the Mashiyach, the Son of the Living Elohim” he confesses faith in Mashiyach, not the person only, but the Spirit of Mashiyach in Y’shua.

Y’shua’s reply provides Keefa the same reference that David and the Prophets had regarding YHWH’s Salvation, the Rock. However, this verse was twisted by Catholicism to first give Peter “authority,” then usurp Peter’s “authority” for its leader.

Be wary of self-proclaimed “prophets”…

As you’ve probably noticed, there are lots of  on places like Facebook. Be VERY careful to NOT believe everything you hear or read! YHWH doesn’t like people who “prophesy” things He never said!

Ezekiel 13: 9 “My hand will be against the prophets who have futile visions and produce false divinations; they will not be allowed into the council of my people, or be written in the register of the house of Isra’el, or enter the land of Isra’el. Then you will know that I am Adonai ELOHIM.

10 They deserve this, because they have led my people astray by saying there is peace when there is no peace. If someone builds a wall without mortar, they ‘plaster’ it with whitewash [to make it appear strong].

11 Tell these ‘plasterers’ that a cloudburst is coming, with huge hailstones and gale-force winds; 12 and the wall will fall down. Then people will ask you, ‘Where is the whitewash you used to “plaster” it?’” 13 Therefore Adonai ELOHIM says: “In my rage I will cause gale-force winds to break out, and in my anger there will come a cloudburst, with huge hailstones to consume it in fury.

14 This is how I will break down the wall you covered with whitewash — I will smash it to the ground, so that its foundation will be revealed. The wall will fall down, and you will be consumed with it. Then you will know that I am ADONAI.

15 In this way I will spend my fury on the wall and on those who covered it with whitewash; and I will say to you, ‘The wall is gone, and so are those who “plastered” it,’ 16 that is, the prophets of Isra’el who prophesy about Yerushalayim and see visions of peace for her when there is no peace,” says Adonai ELOHIM.’ (CJB

Calgary hit by "tennis ball-sized" hail … we need to pay attention to warning signs like these!

Yesterday (June 15, 2020), Calgary was hit by "tennis ball-sized" hail. Can you imagine hail of that size? YHWH has been trying to get man's attention for 6 thousand years....but we're clearly STILL not getting it....

Here are just a few Scripture verses that mention “hail” - and it's never in a "good" context…

Revelation 8:6 Now the seven angels with the seven shofars prepared to sound them. 7 The first one sounded his shofar; and there came hail and fire mingled with blood, and it was thrown down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

Revelation 11:19 Then the Temple of God in heaven was opened, and the Ark of the Covenant was seen in his Temple; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake and violent hail.

Revelation 16 21 And huge seventy-pound hailstones fell on people from the sky. But the people cursed God for the plague of hail, that it was such a terrible plague.

Job 38:22 “Have you gone into the storehouses for snow or seen the storehouses for hail, 23 which I save for times of trouble, for days of battle and war?

Psalm 105: 32 He gave them hail instead of rain, with fiery lightning] throughout their land. 33 He struck their vines and fig trees, shattering trees all over their country.

Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the haughty crown of Efrayim’s drunks, to the fading flower of its proud splendor, located at the head of the rich valley belonging to people overcome by wine! 2 Adonai has someone strong and powerful. He comes like a hailstorm, a destructive tempest, like a flood of water, rushing, overwhelming; with his hand he hurls them to the ground.

Haggai 2:17 I struck you with blasting winds, mildew and hail on everything your hands produced; but you still wouldn’t return to me,’ says ADONAI.

Ezekiel 13: 11 Tell these ‘plasterers’ that a cloudburst is coming, with huge hailstones and gale-force winds; 12 and the wall will fall down. Then people will ask you, ‘Where is the whitewash you used to “plaster” it?’” 13 Therefore Adonai ELOHIM says: “In my rage I will cause gale-force winds to break out, and in my anger there will come a cloudburst, with huge hailstones to consume it in fury.

Are humans “gods”?

You’ve all seem some scriptures that suggest humans are “gods” (Elohim), so it is important to remember that “we” are NOT God or even gods. We must look at the CONTEXT of passages such as these:

Psalm 82: …5They do not know or understand; they wander in the darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. 6I have said, “You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. 7But like mortals you will die, and like rulers you will fall.”…

John 10:34 Jesus replied, "Is it not written in your Law: 'I have said you are gods'?

Ezekiel 28:2 "Son of man, tell the ruler of Tyre that this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Your heart is proud, and you have said, "I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the heart of the sea." Yet you are a man and not a god, though you have regarded your heart as that of a god.

Because YHWH has made humanity in His Image (Genesis 1:27) and we have been imbued with intellect to run the entire earth, many tend to THINK they are basically “little gods” walking around. Many forget that “being made in His Image” means we are to reflect His Holy Image (character), His Essence, and to be a “light” to the nations (Isaiah 42:6). We were also meant to represent Him in the stewardship of His good and wonderful creation (Genesis 1:28-29).

Not even Yeshua ever said he was YHWH ELOHIM - so what makes us mere humans think WE could ever be "gods"?

John 10:24. And the Yehudeans surrounded him and said to him, “How long will you hold our souls  if you are the Mashiyach?  Tell us openly.”  25. Y’shua answered and said to them, I have told you and you do not believe!  And the works that I do in the Name of my Father they testify concerning me.  26. But you do not believe because you are not of my sheep, just as I have told you.

27. My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they come after me.  28. And I give to them life that is eternal and they will not perish and no man will ever snatch them from my hands.  29. For my Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no man is able to snatch them from the hands of my Father. 0. I and the Father are one.

31. And again the Yehudeans took up rocks to stone him. 32. Y’shua said to them, Many pleasing works from the presence of my Father I have shown you. For which of them do you stone me? 33. The Yehudeans said to him, “It is not because of the pleasing works that we stone you, rather because you do blaspheme and that while you are a Son of man you make yourself Elohim!”[1]

34. Y’shua said to them Is it not written in your Torah that “I have told you that you are Elohim.”[2] 35. If those people he called Elohim because the Miltha of Elohim was with them and Scripture is not able to be broken 36. To him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world you say, “You blaspheme!” concerning that I had told you that “I am the Son of Elohim.”

37. Unless I do the works of my Father, do not believe me. 38. If, however, I do them even if you do not believe me, you believe the works that you may know and believe that my Father is in me[3] and I am in my Father. (AENT)

NOTES:

[1] Truth is, Yeshua never said he was YHWH! He said that the Ruach of YHWH is within him, (Isaiah 11:1-2, Zechariah 12:10). He taught that while his nefesh (soul) would die, YHWH would reanimate both his neshama (human spirit/ruach) and nefesh. Yeshua never claimed his nefesh was anything other than human and that as such, it would die….

[2] Reference to Psalm 82:6. People tend to think of themselves as “gods”. Psalm 82:6 My decree is: ‘You are elohim [gods, judges], sons of the Most High all of you. 7 Nevertheless, you will die like mortals; like any prince, you will fall.’”(CJB)

[3] In Isaiah 22:20-25 a priestly father is named Hilkiah (my portion is YHWH) and his son is Eliakim (Elohim raises) which foreshadows Mashiyach (Messiah) whose “portion” is YHWH, and who is raised up by Elohim.

Mashiyach is the first begotten of YHWH who suffers, then is raised up and then is given governance over all nations, kindreds, tongues and peoples as foreshadowed in verses 21-22:

“And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.”

Did you know that Yeshua had a God?

Did you know that Yeshua had an ELOHIM (YHWH) to Whom he prayed? And did you know that Yeshua actually never accused YHWH of “forsaking” him?

It’s true! Take a look:

John 20:17. Y’shua said to her Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brothers and tell them that I ascend to my Father and your Father and my Elohim and your Elohim. (AENT)

NOTE – “I ascend to my Father and your Father and my Elohim and your Elohim.” WOW! Yeshua constantly deferred to his ELOHIM, and constantly spoke with, and prayed to Him!

Now, take a look at this:

John 17:1. (AENT)

Notice – Yeshua knew who he was while walking the earth. He was the MESSIAH, embued with the Divine Spirit of YHWH. He never suggested that he, himself, was YHWH. He remained focused on his ELOHIM unto death….

Matthew 27:45. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 46. And about the ninth hour, Y’shua cried out with a loud voice and said, My El! My El! [Lemana shabakthani] Why have you spared me? [1]

47. And some of those men who were standing there when they heard it were saying, “This man calls to Eliyahu.” 48. And immediately, one of them ran and took a sponge and filled it with vinegar and put it on a reed, and was offering a drink to him.[2] 49. But the rest were saying, “Let him be. Let us see if Eliyahu comes to save him.” 50. Then again Y’shua cried out with a loud voice and gave up his spirit.[3] (AENT)

NOTE that YHWH Himself wasn’t the One who died! It was His human Messiah, who was both “born” and “died” … and then the Spirit of Yeshua (who was the Word, John 1:1, 14) and the “Arm” of YHWH (Isaiah 53:1) then eventually rejoined the Spirit of YHWH….

FOOTNOTES:

[1] Y’shua was not necessarily quoting Psalm 22, although the imagery of the Psalm is certainly intended by Matthew. Greek is transliterated Eli, Eli lama sabacthani, but Peshitta and Psalm 22 read: Eli, Eli lama azbatani. Many Bibles read “forsaken” from which came a false teaching that the Father left Y’shua destitute (Marcionite thinking).

Isaiah 53:4 indicates that “we” reckoned him smitten of Elohim, but it is not YHWH who tortured His own son, but men motivated by religious tradition. Psalm 22 references those who scorned Y’shua for his Faith in YHWH and called him a worm (detested), but Father YHWH does not forsake the righteous, nor does He at any time “forsake” His own Son – see Psalm 9:9, 10; 37:25; 71:11; Isaiah 49:14-16.

Y'shua says "Eli" (my El). He is in great physical pain after being brutally tortured; those around him were confused about whether he was saying "Eli-yah" or "Eliyahu". If Hebrew eyewitnesses were not sure of what he was saying, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Greek transliteration was also wrong, putting "lama sabacthani" rather than "lemana shabakthani".

[2] Psalm 69:21,22

[3] Referring to Luke 24:43 - "And Y’shua cried out with a loud voice and said, My Father, into Your Hands I place my spirit!" (See also Psalm 31:5 (6))

Don't let YOUR prayer be "an abomination"....

This meme should be an eye-opener for those who believe that "prayer" will solve everything. YES, we are to pray without ceasing (1 Thess 5:16-18), but there is a specific way to pray properly, and it does not include praying in a way that suggests ADONAI is your personal servant or "fairy godfather" granting your every wish. There is SO much more to "prayer"; most of it depending upon each individual being wholehearted and obedient to YHWH's Divine Instructions...

EXAMPLE: Myriads have been busy been praying for the healing of our nation.

No one ever asks, WHY God should pay attention to that request, when (1) Scripture tells us that these things MUST happen before Yeshua's return; and (2) most of the nation consists of willfully ungodly people ... atheists, agnostics, satanists, witches, Yeshua haters, Torah haters, and the multitudes of "lukewarm" pretending to be religious and holy, while committing all kinds of secret sins; and purposely ignoring God's "forever commands" as provided in Torah.

Furthermore, why should God heed the prayers of a nation that kicked Him out of all schools and government buildings, etc., back in 1962? We've been receiving fires, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, and diseases of all kinds BECAUSE we're in a fallen world where disobedience and decadence has reigned since the very beginning!

As shown in the meme below, prayers of Torah-less "believers" are an abomination! Regardless, these things MUST happen:

Matthew 24:5-7 - You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. (CJB)

2 Timothy 3: 1-2 - But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy.... (CJB)

Mark 13:7. But when you hear of wars and rumors of revolutions, do not have fear. This is bound to happen, but is yet not the end. 8. For nation will arise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be earthquakes in various places. And there will be famine and uprisings. These things are the beginning of sorrows. (AENT)

Jeremiah 51:7 Babel was a golden cup in the hand of YHWH, making drunk all the earth. The nations drank her wine, that is why the nations went mad! (ISR)

Zephaniah 1:18 - Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of YHWH. And by the fire of His jealousy all the earth shall be consumed, for He makes a sudden end of all those who dwell in the earth. (ISR)

All this wouldn't be happening if Adam and Eve hadn't sinned. But since they did, and WE continue to disobey and disappoint our Creator, YHWH and His Divine Messiah, Yeshua, we are stuck with the consequences. We are reaping what we sowed (Galatians 6:7-9).

If everyone was a Torah obedient believer, there would be NO murders, racism, adultery, divorce, fighting, coveting, cheating, lying, hatred among brethren, or stealing, rioting or looting, etc Our governments would all run smoothly, and we would surely have taken better care of the ecology and our environment.

But, we haven't, and so here we are.

Anyway, here's how we are to pray, according to Scripture:

Matthew 6: 7. And when you pray, you should not be chatterers like the pagans, for they hope that by many words they will be heard. 8. Therefore, do not imitate them[1] for your Father knows what need you have before you ask Him.

9. Therefore, you pray like this: Our Father in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. 10. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done. As in heaven so on earth.[2] 11 Give us the bread of our need this day. 12. And forgive us our offenses as we also have forgiven those who have offended us. 13. And not bring us into trial,[3] but deliver us from the evil one, for Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. (AENT)

[1] Prayer is a dialogue with Heaven, not a monologue. Y’shua’s teaching stands as the demarcation between relationship with YHWH rather than a religion about Him. Prayer is meant to establish and maintain an intimate relationship, and accountability between each individual and YHWH.

[2] Heavens always come before the earth in terms of the creation order, importance and having heaven’s laws rule on earth (Job 38:31-33).

[3] YHWH does not lead His people into “temptation”, but He does test and prove them. Deut. 13:3; Job 1:7-12; James 1:14.

LUKE SAYS IT THIS WAY:

Luke 11: 2. Y’shua said to them, This is how you will pray: Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as so in heaven. 3. Give us the bread of our everyday need. 4. And forgive us our sins for we also forgive all who have offended us. And lead us not into trial but save us from the evil one. (AENT)

BOTTOM LINE: Pray without ceasing, but make sure you're praying the right way. Ask YHWH to open the spiritual eyes of all those He knows ARE or WILL be His so they can become who they need to be in HIM; and learning to become good citizens of the Kingdom, and then teaching others to do the same.

Our land can only be healed when everyone is on the "same sheet of music," doing things according to ADONAI's commands.

Why can husbands void a wife's promise to YHWH?

READER QUESTION:

Wondering why husbands can void a wife's promise to YHWH? (Numbers 30)  Also wondering WHY a wife would tell a husband about a promise she is making to YHWH??

OUR RESPONSE:

Respectfully, the problem I think you are having is that you are understanding Numbers 30 with your English language mindset of our day (naturally!) These verses, regarding the husband's authority to nullify a vow made by his wife seems disturbing to us.

But, to understand Numbers 30 we really need to invoke what a Hebrew of that time understood about the supreme importance of vows and oaths and how the family unit was designed by YHWH to function. The way YHWH established the family and expected it to operate is not at all like we manage families in our time. Similarly, we only have our experience and understanding of the meaning of a vow or oath, which is quite different than that of the Biblical times.

According to YHWH, when a man makes a vow, he is obligated to keep it. Period. It is that important. Numbers 30:2. This is also true of a woman who is not a wife, Numbers 30:9. But when the family unit is involved, here is where the family hierarchy established by YHWH enters the picture. The hierarchy is this: A child is to submit to their parents, the wife is to submit to her husband, the husband is the authority over the family - and he submits to YHWH.

The husband, of course, is supposed to be honorable and in good-standing, and a man of YHWH, so this YHWH-given authority is not meant to be permission to abuse his wife or children. Put in a way that is a little less disconcerting to our modern western society, a wife is under the covering and authority of her husband, and the husband is under the covering and authority of YHWH - thus so is the wife. Nevertheless, we find in scripture that the man is the head of the household and has the authority to nullify any vow made under his roof by his wife or children.

Realize that Numbers 30 also permits the husband to accept any vow made by his wife, so we need to look at what these verses mean to imply since the intent of the vow is not addressed in Numbers 30. It's not that the vow might be an evil vow or an irresponsible vow that cannot possibly be kept. It's that in Biblical times, (just as we do today), we sometimes plead with YHWH and make a vow to Him, often unthinking and rash: "Oh, Lord, I'll not do that again", or "I promise to never cuss again", or "I'll never ask you for anything ever again".

Vows like these obligate the person (and may obligate the household), and in the case of the wife, the husband can, and should nullify them if necessary. But a vow made by the wife which is righteous, and honorable, and can be kept, the husband can let it stand (Numbers 30:7, 11, 13-14). This would be the way a good, Torah obedient household would have operated.

As to your concern "wondering WHY a wife would tell a husband about a promise she is making to YHWH?", I'm not sure how to respond. A righteous household, I think, would not encounter situations where the wife felt she should make a vow or an oath without her husband's knowledge. She has, after all, submitted to her husband's authority. (Remember to think ancient Hebrew mindset, not modern western mindset). This family structure is important to YHWH, but is lost on society today.

And finally, let me add that there is a distinct difference in the Bible between an oath and a vow. An oath imposes an obligation upon the one making the oath. A vow is by definition a conditional promise.

Oaths usually are made in the Name of YHWH. The Hebrew term is: "nishba 'be-YHWH", and is an oath made in YHWH's Name, for example an oath between two people. But an oath made TO YHWH is: "nishba 'le-YHWH", which is literally "swear TO YHWH".

Both forms are obligatory but they can both be made between people, or directly to YHWH. Today, we don't take oaths and vows as seriously as YHWH intended them to be. That is rather sad. In days of old, one's word was his bond. It's not so in our time. In or western society, no one is taught the importance or difference between an oath and a vow, and we just "do what is right in our own eyes."

An explanation as to why we, at The Refiner's Fire website, often refer to Y'shua as "Arm of YHWH"...

Scripture uses many metaphors to explain a concept, and the word "arm" promotes a vivid image of God's strength and power. The arm (from the shoulder down to the fingertips) is an EXTENSION of the body - a vital part of the body, DOING things such as lifting, grasping, punching, holding ... its every action controlled by the brain.  We humans "lift up our arms" to praise ADONAI...

The arm only moves according to the signals sent from the brain.  Without the brain, the arm could do nothing. In Isaiah 59:16 and 63:5, the prophet tells how YHWH will save his people by his "own arm"; and in Isaiah 53:1 we see this amazing prophetic picture of Y'shua:

"Who believes our report? To whom is the arm of Adonai revealed?" and then it goes on to describe a human man - a description that perfectly fits Y'shua in every way!

Y'shua is "the ARM of YHWH" because YHWH caused His Divine Messiah (His"arm") to be born as a human being (someone humanity could identify with and understand), and grow up to preach the Kingdom, do everything His FATHER commanded, and then to offer/sacrifice himself on our behalf, thus eliminating the need for animal SIN sacrifices.

(NOTE:  Y'shua did NOT abolish the need for any other sacrifices, such as the ones we see in Leviticus 7:37 - burnt, grain, sin, guilt, consecration and peace ofeerings. We cannot do them today because there is no Temple, but they will be reinstituted again, once the Third Temple is built.)

It is imperative to understand that the "arm" doesn't control the "brain"; said another way: Yeshua never suggested that he came to replace YHWH/the "Father" in  any way! He came to do everything the Father TOLD him to do...

Luke 4:43 "But he (Yeshua/Jesus) said, "I must  preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other towns also,  because that is why I was sent."

Luke 8:1 And it happened after these things that  Y'shua was going around in the cities and in the villages and was  preaching and declaring the Kingdom of Elohim.

As you know, Messiah Y'shua was different from any other human because he was the "Arm" of YHWH (Isaiah 53:1, AND the "Word" John 1:1 and 14).  As such, he was a "divine" and indelible part of YHWH, which maked him ONE with YHWH. (A "part" of the body belongs to the WHOLE body, and is a vital part of that body.)

BOTTOM LINE:  In the case of Y'shua, the Ruach (Spirit of YHWH) was encased in the  flesh of the SON, and it is that flesh which was pierced.  YHWH Himself was never pierced; YHWH Himself was neither born nor died - for, had that been the case, He would have been no different from humans ... and a mere human CANNOT be ELOHIM.

But His "arm" - His ARM /POWER/ STRENTH - represented by the human being named Y'shua (which is Hebrew for "YHWH is Salvation"), the ONLY Heavenly being who has the actual NAME of יהוה (the Hebrew letters "Yud-Hey-Vav-Hey") within his own name, reached out to humanity to show how to be "set apart" from a lost world where sin and death rule, so that we may be found "clean" in body, soul and spirit and thus receive the gift of Eternal Life (Genesis 2:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Matthew 10:28; Ecclesiastes 12:7; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 1 John 5:20, etc.).

John 17:1.  Y’shua spoke these things and he lifted up his eyes to Heaven and said My Father the hour has come.  Glorify your Son so that your Son might glorify you.  2. Just as you have given him authority over all flesh that whomever You have given him, he will give to him life that is eternal.

3. Now this is life that is eternal, that they might know You, that You are the Elohim of Truth, and he alone whom You have sent, the Mashiyach Y’shua.  4. I have glorified You on earth.  The work that You have given to me to do I have finished it.  5. And now glorify me my Father with You in that glory that I had with You from before the world was.  6. I have made Your Name known to the sons of those men whom You had given to me from the world. (AENT)

A great message for Believers to cling to during these trying times….

In these trying times, it's hard to tone down our anger against those who perpetrate violence to "get their messages" across (especially those who don't even have a "message"; but simply enjoy being destructive).

But being angry and wanting to retaliate avails nothing, because Scripture tells us that vengeance belongs to YHWH....

So, here is a great message for Believers to cling to:

Proverbs 4:14 Don’t follow the path of the wicked or walk on the way of evildoers. 15 Avoid it, don’t go on it, turn away from it, and pass on. 16 For they can’t sleep if they haven’t done evil, they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone fall. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.

18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, shining ever brighter until full daylight.19 The way of the wicked is like darkness; they don’t even know what makes them stumble. My son, pay attention to what I am saying; incline your ear to my words.

21 Don’t let them out of your sight, keep them deep in your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to their whole being. 23 Above everything else, guard your heart; for it is the source of life’s consequences. 24 Keep crooked speech out of your mouth, banish deceit from your lips.

25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze on what lies in front of you. 26 Level the path for your feet, let all your ways be properly prepared; 27 then deviate neither right nor left; and keep your foot far from evil. (CJB)

Deuteronomy 32:35 Vengeance and payback are mine for the time when their foot slips;for the day of their calamity is coming soon, their doom is rushing upon them. (CJB)

Romans 12: 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but try to do what everyone regards as good. 18 If possible, and to the extent that it depends on you, live in peace with all people. 19 Never seek revenge, my friends; instead, leave that to God’s anger; for in the Tanakh it is written, “Adonai says, ‘Vengeance is my responsibility; I will repay.’” (CJB)

THE FOLLOWING IS A RUMOR ABOUT A THING CALLED LAMININ that has been passed around congregations and here on Facebook for many years. It’s time to put a stop to it…
.
THE RUMOR:
The molecule, Laminin is the protein that holds human beings together. Do you notice its shape? Isn't it amazing that God would think so far in the future, and make the very thing that makes us think of Jesus, make up and play a crucial role in how we are formed? God formed you to not only live as an image of Christ, but to never escape the fact that you are HIS! We are branded by the Cross! He is before all things, and in him all things hold together... Colossians 1:17

THE RESPONSE:

Although very interesting, comparing the shape of laminin to God’s Messiah is a bit of a stretch - for several reasons:

(1) The cross was never a “symbol of God” – GOD cannot be born or die! It was merely a death device used by the Romans, upon which His Divine Messiah was crucified. (If Yeshua had been put to death by hanging, would we be willing to wear nooses around our necks or hang them on our walls?)

(2) We don't know for sure that Yeshua died on a "cross" (the NT translates it "stake"), and if you Google "cross" you'll see that the shape of the modern Christian cross is from the Latin which looks like a lower case t while other "crosses" look like a capital T, a capital X and also a plus sign....So what WAS He actually nailed to?

(3) The only symbol YHWH Himself ever designed and told us to make according to HIS instruction was the menorah (Exodus 25:31-40). (I would be impressed if laminin was in the shape of a MENORAH!) HOW Yeshua died is not indicative of the "stuff of life" that holds us together.

We don't have life because "the human Messiah" died; we have life because his Father, YHWH, created mankind. However, belief in the shed blood of Messiah Yeshua at the cross affords us "eternal life"... (Note also that GOD cannot be born or die, which means there's a whole lot more to the YHWH-Yeshua relationship than most realize!)

Yeshua was the Word (John 1:1, 14) and the "arm of YHWH" (Isaiah 53:1), which renders him indelibly ONE with YHWH, but He never replaced YHWH or came to pass himself off as ELOHIM, or bring a new religion called Christianity - and YHWH certainly did NOT implant the method of his gruesome death into our DNA....

Believers get to have eternal life because Yeshua was our Redemption; but the hideous death device upon which he suffered and died, has nothing whatsoever to do with a molecule in our bodies that is coincidentally shaped like the latin "cross"....

The pastors who push this "laminin" thing like to suggest that Colossians 1:17 says, "all things holding together"

The Aramaic reads: Colossians 1: 15. who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim and the first-born of all creatures: 16. and by him was created everything that is in heaven and on earth, all that is visible and all that is invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; everything was through him and was created by [1] him: 17. and he was prior to all, and by him everything exists. (AENT)

NOTE: The literal Aramaic reading is “by him”; whereas Greek and English texts have “for him.” Mashiyach is the creative Word through which everything was made (Psalm 33:6, John 1:1-5, Hebrews 1:1-5).

The common Aramaic idiom here and in John is "through his hands" meaning as the Word, Mashiyach crafted all things according to YHWH's blueprints. Yeshua emerges as the Word from YHWH's breath and command and, as such, was with Him in the beginning (John 17:1-11).
