Everyone who becomes Torah observant has the same story to tell: They are lonely and sad because they are rejected by family and friends. Many (like this sister in the screen shot, below) cannot handle it and ultimately return to the church.
How sad for them, because Scripture tells us that for those who refuse to obey YHWH's Torah, even their prayers are considered to be an abomination (Proverbs 28:9). How - if they have ever READ the Bible from cover to cover - can they possibly ignore all the verses from YHWH Himself who says those who OBEY His Torah will be blessed, and those who don't will be cursed?
As I keep saying, we are in the process of witnessing the "great falling away" right now (2 Thess. 2:1-3). One of the main reasons for this "falling away" is because, rather than to READ THE BIBLE from cover to cover, and STUDYING it for themselves, many spend their time grazing the 'net, picking up all their "vast knowledge" from various teachers and those who pass themselves off as teachers, who actually picked up their "knowledge" by grazing the 'net....
This is exactly what this particular sister did, despite my myriad warnings that she would become VERY confused! Instead of heeding those warnings (even after I showed her how and why some of the teachings she was picking up, were way off the mark) she became a master at copying and pasting, and trying to teach others by sharing the "vast knowledge" she had picked up NOT from Scripture, but from Facebook Land and various websites....
Therefore, just as I feared, this was the end result ... she became so confused and disillusioned that she decided to head back to where she once felt loved and accepted.
Unfortunately, this happens a lot. Many people simply have NO discernment, and when they find their way to Torah, they can't handle all the "new knowledge" that comes their way, and they suddenly "go crazy" with a desire for more, more, more!
And then, as "more" comes pouring in (thanks to the Internet and all its supposed "teachers"), they ultimately end up overwhelmed, because they couldn't discern "good" from "bad" teachers and teachings.
Over the years, I've seen disillusioned people either becoming atheists, continue "religion hopping", or return to Christianity, OR rejecting Yeshua and the New Testament altogether by swinging clear to the other side on that pendulum to follow Judaism. Until they become bored with that, or something "more interesting" comes along...
The bottom line is: If you're not obeying YHWH's Divine Instructions in Righteousness, then whose instructions are you following? Sorry to break an age-old myth, but "grace and mercy" and just "believing in Jesus" isn't going to cut it on Judgment Day!
Don't take MY word for it; READ THE BIBLE to find out why!
It all boils down to WHOM you cherish more: YHWH and His Divine Son who died for you? Or yourself? Your family? Your friends and "the world"? Yeshua warned us that it wouldn't be easy....
Romans 16: 17. And I plead with you, my Brothers, that you beware of them who cause divisions and stumblings apart from the doctrine which you have learned: and that you stand distant from them. 18. For they who are such do not serve our Master Y’shua the Mashiyach, but their own belly: and by bland speeches and good wishes, they deceive the hearts of the simple. (AENT)
Matthew 24:10 At that time many will be trapped into betraying and hating each other, 11 many false prophets will appear and fool many people; 12 and many people's love will grow cold because of increased distance from Torah. 13 But whoever holds out till the end will be delivered. (CJB)
