Many Americans seem to feel that they’re above the law

I remember, the first time I was stationed in Germany with the US Army in 1973-1976, when the term "Ugly American" was still being tossed around by certain Germans whose experiences with some arrogant "we liberated you, and you owe us!" American soldiers, had left a sour taste in their mouths.

The term, "Ugly American" still applies today; as it is a stereotype depicting American citizens as exhibiting loud, arrogant, demeaning, thoughtless, ignorant, and ethnocentric behavior; mainly abroad, but also at home - where today, we see myriads exhibiting that "Ugly American" behavior as they rebel against EVERYTHING, including ALL rules designed to keep us safe!

Case in point:

Some Americans, in the midst of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, feel they have a "right" to not only disobey the "quarantining" and mask-wearing rules while in public, but ALL laws designed to keep us safe!

This is the main reason for a major uptick in speeding fatalities lately, as many are blatantly disregarding speed limits. For instance, in Connecticut, traffic has been cut in half compared to last year, but fatal motor vehicle accidents are up by about 40%!

And in California, the Highway Patrol issued nearly 2,500 citations statewide for driving over 100 miles per hour from mid-march to mid-April -- an 87% jump from the same time last year.

This is absolutely unacceptable behavior!

Whether people believe it or not, that makes them LAWLESS, both in regards to our country's rules and regulations, AND to YHWH's commands to guard our lives (Numbers 35:9-34; Deuteronomy 22;8; Titus 3:1; Romans 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:13-17, etc.)

NO ONE can arbitrarily decide they don't have to "follow the laws of the land," as those laws were put in place to keep people safe! Therefore, it goes without saying that driving at a reckless speed or any other reckless behavior that can cause accidents or harm self or others is forbidden under the Torah obligation to safeguard your life and the lives of those around you!

If you can't abide by the simplest Torah rules, what makes you think you're going to get to be among those who will get to help Yeshua "rule and reign during the Millennium? (Matthew 24:27-48; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Jude 1:11-21;Revelation 20:1-6, etc.)

HaShem is watching our every move and judging our every action - and we WILL be rewarded according to what He witnesses!

Revelation 20: 11. And I saw a great white throne and Him who sits upon it; from whose presence the earth and heaven fled away, and this their place was not found. 12. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is (the book) of life. And the dead were judged from the things written in the books, according to their deeds.

13. And the sea gave up the dead in it; and death and Sheol gave up the dead in them. And they were judged, each one according to his deeds. 14. And death and Sheol were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death (namely,) this lake of fire. 15. And if any one was not found enrolled in the book of life, he was cast into this lake of fire. (AENT)

  1. There are many self-destructive types out there who mock, scoff and twist YHWH and His Word. But it's never their fault. They blame everyone but themselves when bad things happen to their friends or neighbors.

    1. Exactly, Kevin. Truer words were never spoken. How sad that that MOST Americans seem to be like that. Furthermore, those types not only rebel against authority while they whine and cry about their own self-made lot in life; but they also believe themselves to have the authority to harass others with their personal opinions via endless "forwards" (videos, articles, etc.) both on Facebook and via any email addresses they manage to get a hold of. I call them "mental rapists" because that is, in effect, what they are.
