Reader wants to know how to respond to “the law was done away with”….

READER QUESTION:

So, I have heard people say that since the Veil in the temple was torn when Jesus died - this means the Law was done away with.

What is the best answer to this?

OUR RESPONSE:

The best reply would be something like this:

First of all, the word was always "Torah" and not "law". Torah consists of God's Divine Instructions in Righteousness, without which we would have NO blueprint for moral, holy living. WHY would "Jesus" (whose given name was Yeshua (which means "YHWH is Salvation" in Hebrew) have come to abolish his own Divine Instructions?

Secondly, the death of Yeshua abolished NOTHING except the need to sacrifice innocent animals to atone for our sins. If you'll read the entire Bible from cover to cover, you will discover that truth…

And if that doesn't work, Jeanie, tell them to answer the questions on our Christian Questionnaire.

Hope this helps!
