DO YOU TRULY KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN MESSIAH?

Have you ever really pondered who you are in Messiah?

I was born Jewish through my mother and grandmother, and on down the line.  However, when I was a child, my mother, in our post-War Germany, always said, "Don't ever tell anybody you're a Jew, because they KILL Jews!"

Today, knowing “who” I am, makes me smile, because – even if someone were to “kill me,” it’s not the worst thing that could happen, because once I die and get out of this “earth suit,” the moment my eyes open in my “forever body,” I will be looking straight into the eyes of Yeshua!)

Galatians tells us the following:

Galatians 3:26 For in union with the Messiah, you are all children of God through this trusting faithfulness; 27 because as many of you as were immersed into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah, in whom 28 there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female; for in union with the Messiah Yeshua, you are all one. 29 Also, if you belong to the Messiah, you are seed of Avraham and heirs according to the promise. (CJB)

So you see, it doesn’t matter “who” you are, or what you look like, or whatever gender or color you are -  the bottom line is, you are no longer a “Gentile” once you have accepted the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His Messiah. You are ONE in Messiah!

NEED MORE PROOF?

Take a look at Genesis 12 where Avram [later renamed Avraham], the pagan Chaldean, became a "Hebrew" [which, in Hebrew, means "to cross over"], when he accepted YHWH as his God, and physically crossed over into the land YHWH commanded.)

Genesis 12: 1 Now ADONAI said to Avram, "Get yourself out of your country, away from your kinsmen and away from your father's house, and go to the land that I will show you. 2 I will make of you a great nation, I will bless you, and I will make your name great; and you are to be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by you all the families of the earth will be blessed." (CJB)

Avram became a "Hebrew" the moment he accepted YHWH and "crossed over" both spiritually and physically, leaving his own country and starting the journey to begin living his life according to YHWH's Divine Instructions. (See Genesis 14:13).

So, if you have accepted YHWH as your ELOHIM and Yeshua as His Son, and Divine Messiah, you too, can now call yourself a "Hebrew" if you wish because you are NOT a "Gentile" anymore, as Gentile means (among other things) "pagan" or "of or relating to the nations at large as distinguished from the Jews"...

Once you become a "believer," you are are no longer "of the nations"; and are therefore required to leave "religion" and "religiosity" and all the various dogmas and any paganism behind, because the Torah explains that God commanded it.

Remember, myriads of pagan Egyptians followed Moshe/Moses out of Egypt when YHWH liberated His people. They ALL stood at the base of Mt Sinai and saw and heard what went on there - and God commanded that those who chose to follow Him were to do EXACTLY as His people did! (See Exodus 12:49, Numbers 15:13-16, Isaiah 56:6, Galatians 3:28 and Romans 10:12-13.)

SO, HERE’S SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:

As you know - the Books of Daniel and Revelation are unfolding before our very eyes. Things are heating up, and the BEST thing people can do for themselves is to get themselves "right" with God. He doesn't have any "gray areas" - and, unfortunately, most seem to "be asleep at the wheel" because they ignore the "whole Bible concept," which spans from Genesis to Revelation.

Many (if not most") are mired in their religion or religiosity, and absolutely refuse to let go of their personal opinions, and simply allow the Holy Spirit to lead them. In other words, they aren’t learning or growing!

So WHO are they, really? God can't do anything with those who don't bother to listen to His Voice, or refuse to "shema" (Hebrew, for "hear AND do")...

Truth is, we can't know what the Holy Spirit is trying to show us UNTIL we become humble enough to actually study the Bible from cover to cover so we can KNOW what it says, and thus, be able to discern The Word from the endless whispering of the Destroyer who wants us to remain in our "ruts" for the purpose of keeping us away from the Truth of YHWH/Yeshua/Torah.

Many simply (and sadly) don't realize that "letting go" and making the decision to TRULY figure out WHO they are, and then become WILLING to follow God, CAN and WILL change their lives in ways they never imagined - and that they will be blessed abundantly for it!

May you be blessed as you continue your journey that takes you toward that “narrow gate that leads to life!”  (Matthew 7:13-14)
