Those with ears to hear and eyes to see will be able to understand that it's all about YHWH; and not only about the teachings of His Divine Messiah (as the churches insist) who walked this earth for a brief time … to do what? ... to proclaim the Kingdom of God and do everything His Father commanded! (You’ll see the pertinent scriptures below.)
The entire Bible reveals that YHWH's His Torah stands FOREVER! Here is just one passage:
1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks to Adonai! Call on his name! Make his deeds known among the peoples. 9 Sing to him, sing praises to him! Talk about all his wonders. 10 Glory in his holy name; let those seeking Adonai have joyful hearts. 11 Seek Adonai and his strength; always seek his presence.
12 Remember the wonders he has done, his signs and his spoken judgments. 13 You descendants of Isra’el his servant, you offspring of Ya‘akov, his chosen ones: 14 he is Adonai our God, His judgments are everywhere on earth. 15 Remember his covenant forever... (CJB)
Messiah Yeshua taught YHWH's Torah during his brief time on earth. He didn't come to bring any "religion" or to change the Divine Rules. He even said so, himself:
Luke 4: 43 "But he (Yeshua/Jesus) said, "I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent." (CJB)
Luke 8: 1. And it happened after these things that Y'shua was going around in the cities and in the villages and was preaching and declaring the Kingdom of Elohim. (AENT)
And Paul reiterated Yeshua's teachings:
Acts 28: 23 "From morning till evening the Apostle Paul explained and declared the Kingdom of God and tried to convince people about Yeshua from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets." (CJB)
Acts 24: 14. But this indeed I (Paul) acknowledge, that in that same doctrine of which they speak, I do serve the Elohim of my fathers, believing all the things written in Torah and in the prophets. (AENT)
So, while his death, burial, and resurrection are an important part of the Good News, it's not the whole story! YHWH isn't just in the business of "saving" people. As Creator and law giver, He is in the business of teaching us how to be good subjects in His Kingdom to come!
If His Messiah supposedly “abolished Torah at the cross” then why was EVERY believer completely Torah observant for one hundred years after Yeshua's death, including the Apostle Paul who was "caught" being Torah observant 29 years after Yeshua's death (Acts 21:23-24)! Was Paul a hypocrite, saying one thing and doing another; or were his teachings, perhaps, misunderstood?
I pray that this worldwide pandemic has served to open the eyes of myriads because it's been a major SIGN that Scripture is unfolding before our very eyes. Things are happening at lightening speeds, as outlined in Books such as Daniel and Revelation.
Please open your eyes to YHWH's Truth! Stop dismissing the most important part of the Bible (the Tanach - "Old Testament" - and especially the Torah - the writings of Moshe (Moses) which contain ALL of God's actual divine Instructions to mankind) to concentrate only on that last FIFTH called the "New Testament" - which is mostly commentary on, and explanation of, the Torah!
Your eternal life depends on it.
Dear Carmen, I am SO SO GRATEFUL for your efforts here! As relatively new TORAH observant believers (believers 45 years, TORAH observers for 1.5!), my husband and I are eating up your posts! THANK YOU for taking all this time to publish and share the things you've studied! We too, have studied lots and filled notebooks and as I am teaching these things and attempting to share with groups, I'm STILL digesting and digging into the "hard to understand" writings of Paul, in difficult places like Philippians, Galatians, where he talks about the circumcised as mutilators of the flesh who keep the law! Anyway, we are HUNGRY for more, and LOVING what you do! We are living on the crest of a wave! BLESS YOU! BLESS YOU! SO GLAD you haven't quit or given up on sharing your spiritual journey! Love and prayers, Karen (and Doug)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Karen! THANK YOU for those kind words, as there are days I wonder whether or not people are reading our blogs or website.
DeleteOh yes, the writings of Paul are hard to understand - even Peter said they are! - and that is why it is imperative to FIRST have a good grasp of Torah (the Books of Moses).
As you know, Paul was trying to explain deep Hebrew concepts to Gentiles ... which wasn't easy! But in the end, if you could decipher his desperate attempts to get his points across, you can see he was constantly agreeing with YHWH and Yeshua - ALWAYS pointing back to Torah. (He knew that Torah was mankind's ONLY blueprint for moral, holy living.)
Anyway, if you go to our website and use the search button, you'll see we have all kinds of writings about Paul, including these eye-openers:
