Exposing the "laminin" lie...

LET’S TALK ABOUT THIS THING CALLED “LAMININ” that continues to be passed off as “truth” in congregations and on Facebook.

THE RUMOR SAYS:

“The molecule, Laminin is the protein that holds human beings together. Do you notice its shape? Isn't it amazing that God would think so far in the future, and make the very thing that makes us think of Jesus, make up and play a crucial role in how we are formed? God formed you to not only live as an image of Christ, but to never escape the fact that you are HIS! We are branded by the Cross! He is before all things, and in him all things hold together... Colossians 1:17”

THE RESPONSE: It’s false!

Although it might be very interesting, comparing the shape of the molecule laminin to the death device on which Yeshua died, is a bit of a stretch - for several reasons:

(1) The only symbol YHWH Himself ever designed and told us to make according to HIS instruction was the menorah (Exodus 25:31-40). The shape of laminin would be a whole lot more impressive and plausible IF the laminin was in the shape of a MENORAH!)

(2) The cross has sadly been turned by Catholicism and Christianity into a “symbol of God” which certain other religions are using to ridicule us (i.e., “how can you worship a dead God?”) Many churches today have statues of “Jesus hanging on a cross” – which totally negates that fact that Yeshua overcame Death … he was only on the cross for six hours; not for the last 2,000 years! (By the way, GOD (YHWH/ELOHIM) cannot be born or die; but His Messiah’s human body did. One needs to read the Bible to find out the whole story.)

(3) Fact is, “the cross “was merely a death device used by the Romans, upon which YHWH’s Divine Messiah was crucified. We don't know for sure that Yeshua died on a "cross" per se (some Bible versions translate it as "stake"), and if you Google "cross" you'll see that the shape of the modern Christian cross is from the Latin which looks like a lower case “t” while other "crosses" look like a capital T, a capital X and also a plus sign...

(4) Something to ponder: If Yeshua had been put to death by hanging (or had he been beheaded or died in some other horrible way), would we be willing to wear nooses or swords around our necks or hang them on our walls? Would God really then have made “laminin” into the shape of a noose or sword?

BOTTOM LINE:

“How” Yeshua died is not indicative of the "stuff of life" that holds us together. Believers get to have eternal life because Yeshua was our Redemption; but the hideous death device upon which he suffered and died, has nothing whatsoever to do with a molecule in our bodies that is coincidentally shaped like the latin "cross"....

The pastors who push this "laminin" idea like to suggest that Colossians 1:17 says, "all things holding together." However, the Aramaic reads:

Colossians 1: 15. who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim and the first-born of all creatures: 16. and by him was created everything that is in heaven and on earth, all that is visible and all that is invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; everything was through him and was created by [1] him: 17. and he was prior to all, and by him everything exists. (AENT)

FOOTNOTE: The literal Aramaic reading is “by him”; whereas Greek and English texts have “for him.” Mashiach Yeshua is the creative Word through which everything was made (Psalm 33:6, John 1:1-5, Hebrews 1:1-5). The common Aramaic idiom here, and in John, is "through his hands" meaning as the Word, Mashiach crafted all things according to YHWH's blueprints. Yeshua emerges as the Word from YHWH's breath and command and, as such, was with Him in the beginning (John 17:1-11)

  1. The historicity of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion is beyond doubt by any academic or legal standard. There are doubters and nay sayers all who unsurprisingly reject Jesus. That way the prophecy of his crucifixion can be put into doubt as well as his resurrection. As far as laminin goes, it doesn’t make me believe in God any more or less either way. It may interest you that the nation of Israel marched around in the formation of a giant cross for forty years. It may interest you that the meanings of the names from Adam to Noah tell the story of the fall of man our redemption. It may interest you that Russia, Iran and other countries becoming Allie’s against Israel was prophesied as well as the dispersal of the Jews from Israel and their return almost two thousand years later. God is real, Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Forgiveness and life is yours if you ask for forgiveness and believe in Jesus as your Lord and savior.

    1. Thanks for your comments, but it sounds like you're angry that I posted the truth about laminin. My article had nothing to do with any of those things you threw into your comments about "Jesus" or Israel (via some very sarcastic undertones, I might add).

I've been teaching Torah studies for 24 years now and never saw any "cross formation" that Israel supposedly walked in for 40 years. The cross was a pagan, Roman DEATH symbol and nothing more. It certainly isn't something YHWH/God would have caused them to "march" in, as He doesn't need man-made symbols for anything to cause His Will in this world....

  2. You've Been teaching Toran studies, however this relates to Christianity, not the Torah. There is no surprise that evidence of God is found in DNA. God made us in his image and likeness. The only act that he did to redeem us and save us from sin was dying on the cross. If he didn't die, we would all have been condemned with no saving Grace, so Jesus' death was extremely pivotal in our lives and -get this- forever will be. The Romans had their part to play in the divine plan. The Lamini is constant a reminder that Jesus died, lives within us and holds us together.

    1. Thank you for your correspondence, but your first sentence is a clear indication that you don't know what Torah is (that it's the original blueprint for what you are supposed to be doing now and through all eternity); nor that "Jesus" never came to bring anything called "Christianity" which has attempted for two millennia now, to change God's original, divine instructions.

Yeshua (our Messiah's true, Hebrew name, which means "YAHWHEH is Salvation") came to NOT to do his own will, nor bring any new religion or abolish His Father's Divine Instructions; but to do everything His Father commanded of him: See Deuteronomy 18: 15-18.

Yeshua even admitted that he came to do HIS FATHER's will; not His own!

John 6: 35. Y'shua said to them, I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to me will not hunger. And whoever believes in me will not ever thirst. 36. But I have said to you that you have seen me, and you do not believe. 37. All who my Father has given to me will come, and whoever comes not to me I will cast outside! 38. For I came down from heaven,[1] not to do my will, but to do the will of Him who sent me.

      39. And this is His will, that of Him who sent me, that all that He has given to me I do not lose even one. 40. For this is the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in Him, will have life that is eternal. And I will raise him up on the last day. (AENT)

FOOTNOTE: As in the context of Miltha (the Word) or the "Manifestation" or the "Will of" YHWH coming down from heaven to do His Will upon earth; his Spirit is of YHWH but his nephesh (soul) and body are human and temporal.

It is interesting to note that Y'shua said, "I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to me will not hunger. And whoever believes in me will not ever thirst"? Because He redeemed those who believed! This was His message. His blood redeemed your life if you accepted it.

Be that as it may, the above is proof that Yeshua (although divine because he was God's Son) was NOT in charge; his Father was. (I mean, if Yeshua was in charge, then why did he constantly refer to his Father and even Pray to his Father? Was he praying to himself? (See Isaiah 9: 6-7; John 1:18; 10:22-39, 20:28; Philippians 2:5-11, etc.)

Regardless, you are free to believe the laminin stuff - but both science and common sense indicate that this is NOT what some people are pushing. It is yet simply another lie about our heavenly Father, whom most Christians have "put in a box" in attempt to turn Him into something He is not....

  3. So my only question, the lamini set aside, is do you believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh for the sole purpose of redeeming all from their sins who will believe and repent, or do you reject the New testament portion of scripture altogether. I myself do not believe in religions or denominations, I do Believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation from our sins. Do You??

  4. Thanks for your comment! Yes, I believe Yeshua (his given, Hebrew name which means, "Yahweh is Salvation) is God's Divine Messiah who shed his blood on our behalf. He is our Redeemer. Rejection of him means you don't get into heaven!

However, mere "belief" in him does not absolve us from obedience to His Father's Divine Instructions in Righteousness (Torah) without which we would have no blueprint for moral, holy living. Yeshua himself and all the Apostles and disciples kept Torah.

  5. The cross was a curse, to be put onto a cross or tree or stake was a curse. Jesus is no longer on the cross but at His Father's side His right hand. I liked your article it is very true and sadly the cross has become a symbol of Christianity. The cross was devised by Roman sentiment kept for the worse criminals of the day. Of course Roman Catholicism was Rome's answer to the Christian problem, of course problem in the eyes of the Roman government only cause of power. Emperor Nero is a prime example of government having too much power.
