In both Deuteronomy 1:6 and 2:3, YHWH tells His people they have lived long enough by this mountain!
I encountered some MAJOR changes in my life when I heard the Ruach/Holy Spirit use those words on me, back in 1996. Although I knew not what lay ahead, and I didn’t always like what was happening (some of which left me wondering if I had truly heard the Ruach!), I persevered because, down deep I KNEW that this was what YHWH wanted me to do.
Looking back on it all now, I can clearly see that I had a choice to stay or leave “that mountain.”
Had I stayed, I would not be where I am today, physically, mentally, intellectually or financially! I would still be in that same rut asking God “WHY? Why can’t I find true happiness? Why is my life always in the toilet? Why can I not find a great job or good, godly man who loves me just the way I am? Why, why, why?”...
But I chose to OBEY because I was a middle-aged “baby Christian” who was smart enough to be cognizant of “where I had been,” and had made up my mind that I NEVER wanted to return to my “old life.”
Well, that decision – to sell my house and all my possessions and move to another state (as the Ruach has directed) has resulted in countless blessings as YHWH guided me along HIS Path – a Path I didn’t always care for, but which was necessary for graduation to the “next level”….
I believe that some of our friends “out there” are also standing at a “fork in the road” trying to decide “which road” to take. My advice is: If you know YHWH is trying to DO something with you, come out of your rut and take the unfamiliar road; the road "less traveled" (that one you've NOT traveled a dozen times before, only to end up in the same ol' boring rut). Take that unfamiliar road – no matter WHERE it leads, because you’ve been at "that mountain" long enough!
YHWH can't do anything with someone who refuses to sh'ma - hear and do....
