Many will skip over passages such as the ones in this week’s parashah reading – although, it is clearly very important as it presents the design of the tabernacle and dimensions of the ark, etc. Not to mention, most view these things as "Old Testament" which - according to our pastors - was full of interesting history, but they supposedly in no way pertain to New Testament teachings, because Jesus had supposedly "fulfilled" it all. The only thing that was really of any consequence for us today, the pastors insist, is our "belief in the shed blood at the cross"….
