We weren't put on earth to spend our lives living in luxury (like the Kardashians) and just having self-centered fun (Kim Kardashian seems to thrive on people gawking at and talking about her anatomy), or to have our every move documented for all to see in a “reality TV” show. We were put here for HIS pleasure and told in many scriptures to “be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:22, 1:28, 8:17, etc!).

After “the fall” of Adam and Eve who, as you know, disobeyed YHWH and thus allowing themselves to be deceived by “the serpent”, YHWH did make child bearing a painful experience:

Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pain in childbirth. You will bring forth children in pain. Your desire will be toward your husband, but he will rule over you."

He could have put them both to death right then and there, but instead, He allowed them to live. Now, of course, they suffered some consequences, many of which are painful either physically or emotionally. Unfortunately, pregnancy wreaks havoc with a woman’s body – but the fact is, women’s bodies were never meant to be put on public display, anyway. (Deuteronomy 22:5, 1 Corinthians 11:4-7, 1 Timothy 2:9-10, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Peter 3:3, etc)

Women of God don’t sit around fretting about a few “stretch marks” because – while it’s certainly a problem – they simply deal with it, lose the weight, start an exercise program, or whatever, and move on. One’s focus is supposed to be on the joy of the new baby, not totally on “self.” Only self-centered and narcissistic types with the need to be ogled and photographed in various stages of undress designed to attract attention would worry about their “after pregnancy” appearance and make comments like the ones Kim Kardashian made. “Real women” don’t see it as punishment from God! That kind of an attitude comes from a “carnal” mindset.

Our prayer is that somehow Kim K. will FIND her way to YHWH so she can, among other things, begin to focus on what’s important in this life.
Carmenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14998146626031186940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5193745359560427451.post-10463162646217276942015-01-03T09:08:14.337-08:002015-01-03T09:08:14.337-08:00Hello, new visitor here.

Also, I have to say, I have to give kim a little for even mentioning God. No. I am not a fan of her whatsoever, but I do hope for light upon her and those I might despise.
commonsensehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04509657819257580546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5193745359560427451.post-55378755409272534672014-12-11T15:20:38.498-08:002014-12-11T15:20:38.498-08:00I am saddened by comment.
