We're supposed to be "new creatures in Christ" once we accept YHWH and His Divine Messiah. Purposely committing a sin worthy of DEATH reveals Lentz was not a "new creature"... He CHOSE to be his same ol' carnal self...

YHWH was VERY clear about adultery ... it was one of the sins He said would come with a death sentence. Yeshua didn't change that law; he merely gave us prone-to-sin humans a way out of having to kill innocent animals to atone for our wins. HOWEVER, there never was and never will be a sacrifice for DELIBERATE sin. Yeshua only died ONCE, and he's about to return as the Lion of Judah!

Lentz surely knows that adultery is evil, yet he committed it, anyway. Sure, he can repent and change his ways and finally turn to YHWH's Torah that shows him how to live an obedient life; and maybe he will be forgiven. But that is all up to YHWH who truly "knows our hearts."
