On Judgment Day, don't be caught being "lukewarm"....

SOMETHING TO PONDER: The latest two Torah portions serve as major wake-up calls for us to stop fiddling around and get ourselves “right” with YHWH! Not only did we see that poor Moshe, the holiest man on earth at the time, was denied entry into the Promised Land because he was guilty of just a couple of infractions (Numbers 20:12, 24 and 27:14; Deuteronomy 1:37; 3:26-27; 4:21; 32:51); but we also saw that Adam and Eve were evicted from the Garden because they disobeyed just one command (Genesis 3:24) – and the whole human race is still feeling the repercussions of their willful disobedience! Just those two things all by themselves reveal that we Believers truly need to watch our step in our daily walk....

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned….

In other words, we can’t go around mentioning YHWH/Yeshua/Torah out one side of our mouth while out the other, allow cuss words or curses or evil things to come out of that same mouth. We’re not supposed to plan revenge or lie, or steal or commit lashon hara or adultery, or “shack up” under the misguided impression that “God knows our hearts.”

And if we have any addictions – such as viewing porn, or giving in to our penchant for pedophilia or same-sex unions, etc. – we MUST resist, or else WHOM are we serving? The Ruach haKodesh/Holy Spirit does NOT remain in someone who commits an endless string of willful and deliberate sinning! Yeshua’s death erased our PAST sins so that we could come before him with a clean slate; it didn’t give us permission to continue the same lifestyle!

Numbers 15: 30 "'But an individual who does something wrong intentionally, whether a citizen or a foreigner, is blaspheming ADONAI. That person will be cut off from his people. (CJB)

Hebrews 6: 4. But they who have once descended to immersion and have tasted the gift from heaven and have received the Ruach haKodesh 5. and have tasted the good Word of Elohim and the power of the world to come, 6. cannot again sin and a second time be renewed to repentance; or a second time execute him on a stake and insult the Son of Elohim. 7. For the earth that drinks the rain which comes often upon it and produces the herb that is of use to those for whom it is cultivated, receives a blessing from Elohim. 8. But if it should put forth thorns and briers, it would be discarded and be approaching closely to a curse, and its end would be a conflagration. (AENT)

As a matter of fact, we are even considered “guilty” if we simply witness those things and don’t bother doing anything about them! (See Matthew 18:15; 1 John 5:16 ). I’ve personally witnessed congregation leadership turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to sins committed right under their noses (as a matter of fact, I wrote a novel entitled, “Destroyed from Within!” about this very subject). It is a given that weak and “lukewarm” leadership destroys entire congregations! Once “satan” is allowed to enter a congregation (or our homes), he’s VERY hard to get rid of. He takes up residence and permeates everything. He will destroy your relationship with YHWH – guaranteed!

Therefore, we must take YHWH/Yeshua/Torah VERY seriously because, while “grace” covers that proverbial “multitude of sins,” it does NOT give us “carte blanche” to ignore Scripture or to pick and choose what we wish to believe. YHWH has always given man a “way to please and return to Him”; but just because He’s made it really easy for us to gain eternal life through our belief in Yeshua, it doesn’t mean we won’t be vomited from Yeshua’s mouth upon his return:

Revelation 3:15. I know your works, that you are neither hot, nor cold; I would desire that you would be either cold or hot. 16. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit you from my mouth. (CJB)

Revelation 3:19. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. Be faithful emulators therefore, and repent. 20. Behold, I have been standing at the door, and I will knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me. 21. And to him that is victorious, to him will I give to sit with me on my throne, even as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22. He that has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. (AENT)

3 John: 11. Our beloved, be not a follower of what is evil, but of what is good. He that does good is of Elohim; but he that does evil has not seen Elohim. (AENT)
